Out of interest, is the Bongo driving normally, gears changing ok. What does the HOLD light do if you press it while driving (and do engine revs change etc).

My radiator went like that when the Bongo was about about 18 yrs old. They are known to give out with age, where the plastic meets the metal. A new radiator should sort it all and of course make sure the garage bleeds using proper Bongo method.

When mine played up, I bought a new drivers side loom, and had it fitted, at great expense. The problem persisted. It turned out to be a faulty relay unit up behind the the glovebox.
