Re: Alternatives to Continental Vanco Contact2 Tyres? Advice
As long as I have a 4wd Bongo on 15" rims, I'll be using Nankangs toursport XR611, can not fault them, they are not expensive at around £45 each and they lasting the longest of all tyres I've ever had on the Bongo, in fact around three times longer. Got a set of Nankang winter tyres on my old r...

Sounds good to me even if it's not lousy!!MountainGoat wrote: If it is lousy on Friday night we can always forsake the camp fire for a cosy wee dram at the Clachaig Inn a mile up the road.
Never been to the Clachaig.

Re: Sooooooo..........
Check out the September meet thread above, looks like it is actually going to be in October now. Thats why I thought I'd better change the heading. It only took 4 pages to decide where and when, so best to start reading from page 4. Glad someone finally picked a date and place. It's differcu...

Re: Sooooooo..........
As you might of noticed by now. There is a meet planned for the 6th October I've set it as a sticky so that it will stay at the top of the Scotland section for just now.
There could be enough owners in your area now to make it worth while to try to organise a day meet?

Coming to a meet comes in handy for that, you'll get chance to see all different types of conversions.Mum2Fergus wrote:Plan to run with it in current state for a few months and then decide on what options I need (need, not want...or Id never be done with it lol) ...

Hi Carol, and welcome to the forum. We are dying to know.........How did it go with the Bongo?
Sorry, David about removing bongodonkey's duplicate posts. Shall I change your "three times" to "times three?"

Re: 2wd autobox on a 4wd
This might not be of much use but.....
I had to replace my manual box, so for the craic I striped down my old one....this also made it easier to get rid of. The gear box itself I think is the same for 2wd and 4wd, the only difference AFAIK is the transfer box. Could the auto box be the same?

Re: Steering rack.
With a bit of luck in the timing (he was due to pass through Brora) Muz went out of his way to pick up a Steering rack from the above seller and drop it off at my door, at some time of this morning that I didn't know even existed!! Many thanks Muz, Your a Star!! http://i165.photobucket.com/alb...

Re: Scottish Bongo Bash 2013
The West coast is generally a bit warmer, wetter, and midge-ier than the East coast. I would also say it has better scenery.
