Re: ABS warning light

That was me .. The dealer had removed the bulb to mask the problem but as none functioning warning lights are an MOT failure .. me and my son had to sort it out .. Mostly by luck (and a multi meter) we found it was a bad connection in the multi pin connection from the ABS valve block behind the leis...

Re: Strange smell

It may not be the cause of the smell .. but the bearings in the two UJs on the steering column have been known to seize .. I used motor cycle chain lube on mine .. goes on like a penetrating oil .. which turns into a sticky clinging grease .. Also .. because decent motor bike chains have hundreds of...

Re: Facebook

While I admit I think Forums are far 'superior' to FB with more in depth / more easily to access a knowledgeable 'data base' .. I also personally dislike some Forums (not just BF) where you need to be a paid up member, so in effect charge for certain information that in a lot of cases was freely con...

Although I do not now have a Bongo, I like to contribute when ever I can .. both on BF and FB .. Living on my own and most days at home 24/7 it occupies some of my time .. Without a doubt most Forums are not as vibrant as they where a few years ago .. as I am on a couple of dozen FB groups .. every ...

Re: Tiny Jump-Starter Pack

I have to say they are no substitute for an efficient starter battery .. but OK to keep in the car (or your pocket) purely for emergency use .. This is similar to mine .. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/50800mAh-Portable-Car-Jump-Starter-Pack-Booster-Charger-Battery-Power-Bank-UK-/262612960442?hash=item3d...

As an aside .. you can test if the brake servo is working by pressing your foot down on the foot brake while starting the engine...
