Just rung the pub.
No problem for the 27th weekend. No big events on.
£5 a night goes to charity.

Re: Glencoe mountain resort
Stayed up at Glenshee a couple of years ago for skiing and it was £5 a night for a hookup, free to park. Only about six HUs though when we went so it's pot luck.

Re: Tan Hill Inn Highest Pub
No need to book for staying but they did ask last time to give them a rough idea of numbers for eating
Im back middle of next week so can ring them then
might be a good idea to check they haven't got some biggish event on like last time we tried though.

Just seeing if anyone is still up for this?
We can do the last two weekends in Feb or first two in March at the moment.
Remember there are no hook ups.

Re: ADVICE SOUGHT: Which SIM free smartphone to buy
Have a look at GiffGaff for your SIM Mike. No contract and you can buy various priced Goodybags starting at a fiver. You can start at a low price and work up if it doesn't suit your requirements. It can be set to automatically renew each month if you want to so a bit like having a contract without a...

Re: just thought i would read up on this newish technology.
No point whingeing, it's here to stay like it or not.
Just get a 40 year old MG, no tax, £60 a year insurance, easily available bits are cheap as chips, everything can be fixed with a hammer and screwdriver (nearly), whats not to like.

Re: Trip to europe
Remember speed camera warnings systems are illegal in France. They will confiscate your equipment and fine you. Whilst speeding on the motorways isn't generally an issue in a Bongo, the gendarmes are getting sneaky and hiding cameras behind bushes, bridges etc on normal roads and especially in built...

Re: Sky lift roof colour options
One thing to think about is how well you sleep. We had white (which makes it nice and bright in the day) on our Mushroom roof but as I find it almost impossible to sleep unless it's dark we never actually slept upstairs.

Re: Solar panel
I used 10amp fuses baz. Not sure what the wire is, got loads of it hanging around so just used the same size as the leads that came from the panel. Not sure what it is actually. Cable sizing table here which could be useful. http://www.solar-wind.co.uk/cable-sizing-DC-cables.html Another useful bit ...
