Re: Air suspension...

Cheers, I might just contact them and see what they have to offer in the way of a full kit, it would be nice to replace the front struts with some air controlled units 8)

Re: Air suspension...

Thanks for the link winchman, which bits did you get, and does it give you the ability to lower via a switch

Re: Air suspension...

It's the lift and raise feature that I like the sound of but on the other hand... if it isn't going to help the rear end from bottoming out then that's not exactly a wise move. It's availability that seems to be the problem, I can't find any, wondering if this is a custom build job. I hate to start ...

Re: Engine cooling fans confused

Brilliant bit of feedback on this, glad it's working as intended. In addition to what you have, I have an on-off-on switch with diodes preventing feedback to the two earths allowing me to manually switch them on if I ever need it

Air suspension...

Does anyone make air suspension kits for bongo, i know they're not cheap but then again what is cheap on these wagons.
I have seen the air bags for the rear coils option for those with weight in the rear but I would much prefer another toy with more buttons to play with :D

Re: Engine cooling fans confused

I can not stress enough how dangerous it is to play ... Imagine the consequences if you were to accidentally send 12v down that line and back to the the transistors collector #-o I have been meaning to test the introduction of diode pairs to prevent that but am unsure if the relay will power throug...

Re: Today in Birmingham...

It was a deciding factor of many but I often wonder if we purchased our bongo simply because of the number plate  I find it simply mind blowing how much value these can hold

Re: Engine cooling fans confused

Also... Whilst on said subject, the earth switching transistors are slightly over-rated for switching the relays, they would not last long providing current to the relays and bulbs hence why leds are used (with a resistor), add too much current and your fans will never work again... Hence my warning...

Re: Engine cooling fans confused

Quite correct with the above comments hence why the signals were taken from the relays inputs, there are still complex questions regarding these too but unless you load the ECU logic into your brain you'll find it almost impossible to understand, I doubt anyone has ever even pulled this with an epro...

Re: CB on a bongo

Sorry to drag up an old post but i love this stuff and had to share a money saving tip for when camped up. You can make your own aerial with just sticks and wire quite simply with x2 82" lengths of wire, one attached to the coax earth and the other the centre core, spread them apart 8ft and you have...

Re: Engine cooling fans confused

Click, Don't use the live feeds out of the relays... Use the two earths that switch and power up the relays Send one 1A fused wire from ignition and use that as a common live for the 12v leds, you must use led's and not bulbs as bulbs have no diode to stop any possibility of fly back current going b...

Re: Engine cooling fans confused

That's an odd one, I took my feeds from the ecu, the ones switching the relay on, not the lives being switched, one black/orange and one black/green, (common live) There is definitely something else odd going on that cannot be explained, when the ecu is off... All transistors give ground but no live...

Re: water in passenger footwell

Seal where heater box plastics join the firewall maybe, my seal was baked and brittle so I resealed with two rows of door draught tape, seems to have done the job.
Its quite high-up so doubtful but worth checking

Never mind Haydn, there is nothing wrong with the cooling system... You're obviously missing my point here, noise

Re: Info re Coolant level screws

That's great if you don't suffer with beeps annoying you then you're jolly and happy as it's not your problem, the whole point of messing was to experiment with a quicker way of shutting up the haunting noise that has become embedded in one's head!, it's because of this pre-warn I have removed it fr...
