Re: Bongo won't start after low oil issue

I did think that a leak might have caused the issue, as it went from running absolutely fine ( around town and motorway ) to oil light on / rattly noise fairly quickly, however having filled up with oil, it doesn't appear to be leaking anywhere, and i couldn't see any visable signs of a leak. Whethe...

Re: Bongo won't start after low oil issue

It's not sounding great :( I put in a full 5 litre bottle and the level is sitting just above full. I know on some cars the oil light is an indication of level ( Toyota Estima oil light would flash to tell you that you had too much ) , so when it came on, we figured that we had time to get it home a...

Bongo won't start after low oil issue V6

Got a bit of a poorly Bongo at the moment and hoping it's not too bad. On Thursday the oil light started to flicker, then came on permanently ( journey home from work - about 25 miles ). Started it up the next morning and it was making a rattly noise. Got 1 minute round the corner, louder rattly noi...

Re: V6 Problem - chuggy & wobbly!

Ours ( also a V6 ) has been having similar problems, so a handy post to find and read through.

Think some new HT leads will be the first thing to get and try.

Re: to all at the bash

Got back earlier today after a great 1st time Bash. Was nice to meet new people - umbongocat ( thanks for the catflap viewing ) and our neighbours, Geoff & Edna ( i'm sure Emily will have a go at the knitting next year :D ) - aswell as meeting up with others again. My 2 boys had a great time ( w...

Our first Bash aswell :D Nearly loaded, and will be heading off, hopefully, by about 6pm. Although with the weather we've got at the moment, everyone thinks we're just a little bit mad

We'll see you in the morning :D

Re: Trip to Woburn & Bongo spotting

That's part of the fun having a monkey on the roof  Although a few years ago in a different car, after we'd been round and parked up, we noticed a rather large pile of stinky monkey poo sitting in the middle of the roof   Great pics - where did you get the table? this would be ideal...

Re: Help please: changing front and rear speakers.

Yep, great for squeezing the kids through  Finally finished the rear speakers  They wern't entirely straight forward  - had to enlarge both original holes, then make up wooden mounts for each side - but i'm pleased with the result. Next on the list ( at some point ) is to upgrade ...

Re: Does everyone have auto roofs with the square access hat

Just got back from 321 Away. What a great location .. we'd have never found the place without the satnav  The 'Catflap' took a bit longer than planned due to them being very busy, but it went well, and looks good :D http://img689.imageshack.us/img689/495/catflap1.jpg http://img404.imageshack.us...

Re: Help please: changing front and rear speakers.

Quick update : Turns out the old looking, probably original Bongo wiring is 100% fine. The new connector at the end of the new wire that goes to the speaker wasn't making enough contact, whch explained why, even when i went to the effort of taking out the stereo, chopping a few bits, and running the...

Re: Help please: changing front and rear speakers.

Didn't get round to doing anything Sunday as, at short notice, had a classic car show to go to, so as today was my day off, i thought i'd try and finish off. So this post should have a couple of pics of my nice new speakers, in place and sounding great, however things never go to plan   W...

Re: Trip to Woburn & Bongo spotting

The camera is a Samsung ES15 10.2. Nothing special, just a cheap ( well it was free, as Emily got it a few years back as a gift from her work ) digital camera :) Did one of the monkeys steal your rear wiper arm? :) Not exactly. We've got the wiper arm in the garage, as the previous owner took ...
