Re: DIESEL MISFIRE
If you have a side conversion, it is often easier to remove the seat altogether to get better access. 1) Slide seat back & remove front 2 bolts (can be very tight) 2) Slide seat forward & remove back 2 bolts 3) Remove bolt that holds the seat belt sliding mechanism 4) Lift seat out & th...

Re: DIESEL MISFIRE
Following on from the advice here, I purchased new glow plugs. tried to install them but fell at the first fence as I could not remove the front seat  Removed the 2 bolts at the front and for some reason thought the seat just tipped back (hinged) could not find the other fixing :?: Anyone want...

Re: How many KMs on a tank full of Diesel?
Well I have a small LED lump next to empty which looks like a warning light, but then again you could be right as i have never run it down that low. As i said get to 450 and start looking...

Re: How many KMs on a tank full of Diesel?
Not having long had my Bongo I can say that I have been monitoring the fuel guage with interest. I can confirm that 450 kilometers is reasonably accurate. Push it beyond that and I think you will enter the scary zone? I am unsure what fuel is in reserve once the light goes on but at that stage my co...

Re: DIESEL MISFIRE
Can't believe how cheap these injectors are. Last year I had to replace all on my TD5 and were £350 each! I am stunned.. Owning a Bongo just got better.

Re: DIESEL MISFIRE
I agree the gearing will make no diference, I was only stating the model because as sure as god made little apples if I hadn't someone would have asked 'what model is it mate' I have read these forums for a while now and am learing! Well I have taken the advice from the suggestions made here and rea...

DIESEL MISFIRE
Any ideas guys? Mine is a manual diesel model which runs like a dream when hot. However when I start up in the morning it seems to fire on 3 and has a splutter. This only lasts around 10 miunutes on idle but if I rev a little it goes away. I am thinking I may have an injector off or an iffy injector...

Re: Sorry, another noob asking about veg oil.
Guys With Diesel heading steeply for £7 a gallon, veggie oil has to be the way forward at around £1 litre? (free from a chippy) I am seriously thinking about a professional conversion job @ £1200 as over time your investment will be returned. If I had done this with my Landy last year I would still ...

Re: ANOTHER VEGGIE OIL THREAD
Thanks Ian If neighbours would put as much effort into being friendly and neighbourly as they do being nosey and spiteful, we would all be a little less stressed. I am a licensed waste carrier by chance and have consignment notice forms so it is not a problem for me. My point was getting people to h...

ANOTHER VEGGIE OIL THREAD
Hi Guys I have been reading all the other threads on this subject and noticed the last comment was last year. I am now convinced more than ever that I want to convert or start using veggie oil in the Bongy. I have been a Landrover enthusiast for many years and have some experienced with this. For in...
