Re: JAL Conversions

Took delivery of my 2.5 diesel 4WD full side conversion this July, it was also imported by JAL. (I chose the model in transit via photographs). I asked for additional 12volt (cigar type) socket to run off the leisure battery, fitted next to the ZIG CF9 unit, definitely worthwhile fitting one or pref...

Re: Safe heating for a Bongo when wild camping Is it Possibl

I have been using something similar to this
http://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/hi-gear-por ... er-p142458
Used only when pottering/working in bongo but not when sleeping.
Am still thinking of an erberspacher heater tho, will decide this winter

Re: Top 3 Tips???

Glad I opted for an additional 12 volt cigar lighter type outlet next to the zig unit running off the leisure battery, should have got another one fitted Not opted for the whale type water pump external connector, I don't think I'll ever use this. Should have opted for under floor water storage. I h...

Re: rapesead oil/veg oil

Just checked Asda price of veggie oil, 5 litres for £5.50
So £1.10 per litre compared to diesel at £1.45 per litre

Re: MPG on Diesel 4wd

I've been told that you should rag her every now and again to keep her regular, prevent build up of deposits in turbo, etc... Not sure how true that is, though. This advice echoed in my ears on a recent trip whilst returning from Pembrokeshire :P The van didn't feel that stable at 85 I know I didn'...

Re: Zig unit marque 1 not working on leisure battery

A bit of a long shot, but is your new leisure battery fully charged?

The reason I ask is on my Zig CF9, the fridge stops working when the leisure battery drops to a certain voltage (I think to stop the leisure battery being totally discharged)

Re: Curtains for the windscreen and front. Side windows

Hi, I have a pair of curtains that came with my Bongo which you can have. They have been in a bag hanging up in the shed for years, I kept them thinking that someone one day would take them off me. I couldn't sell them as I don't have the rails. PM me if you are interested Dave Gratefully received,...

Curtains for the windscreen and front. Side windows

I Have just noticed a curtain rail which wraps around the front windows. Is there anywhere I can obtain Mazda curtains for this? I have insulation screens for when camping, but like now parked up on the coast I,d like to quickly draw the blinds. It,s blowing a gale here in south Wales, feels really ...

MPG on Diesel 4wd

Just calculated the mpg on my 4wd diesel, 31 mpg, I can live with that :) I was expecting the low 20's.
Suppose keeping the revs down to under 2000 and having a light foot is the way to go.
