Re: Bongoless

Hello Donald

Jim (the box) mentioned to me you were looking for a new Bongo. Im selling my beloved 'Libby', a 2001 Silver over Grey AFT TD with removable rear kitchen. She's done about 79,000 miles and is in great condition. No rust and undersealed. Lots of extras.

I am the first owner since ...

Bongo Selling Advice

I am VERY reluctantly selling my bongo Libby. :(

Can anyone advise me of worthwhile places to advertise? Apart from on here of course!

My circumstances have changed dramatically and I'm looking for a quick sale so therefore no time wasters.

I think I might actually cry when she goes. :(

Thank ...

Re: Wild camping website?

Thanks for the links folks. One responsible wild camping bongo owner here, just so chuffed to have a camper now instead of a tent!!!

All packed (took me two days!) and off to the Outer Hebrides we go!

Wild camping website?

I was over on the west coast of scotland last year and a fellow camper told me about a website on wild camping locations.

For the life of me, I can't remember it and its driving me nuts! Ive searched and searched but no luck.

It was done by one guy I think and you could actually use a link for ...

Re: Leisure battery query from a non techie!

It sounds like the Auto electrician has solved the main problems but the sockets going off with the engine is normal. having them stay powered by the leisure battery is customisation and you need someone to do this for you. The outgoing side of the fuseholder that supplys the sockets needs to be ...

Re: Leisure battery query from a non techie!

I can never get over how helpful people are on here. Thanks everyone for your time.

Ive just written to Mountain Goat and Dave_aber who have kindly PMd me. This is the outcome so far....

Leisure battery query from a non techie!

Please bear in my mind Im not a techie car person but Im a quick learner!!

I have had a ongoing pretty disastrous start to Bongo ownership, mainly due to electrics. I've had continuous fuses going, flat main car battery and waeco fridge fulls of spoilt food due to 12v sockets not working when ...

Looking for an all year round site with hook up

Just coming out of hibernation and wondering if I might brave going away this weekend for 2 or 3 nights. Have the new girlfriend to impress so looking for a very quiet, scenic site with hook up and a decent shower block! A pub thrown in nearby would be a bonus!

Thinking Highlands or West Coast but ...

Re: Newbies Techie Teething problems

Apologies for my newbie ramblings. Wasn't looking for a miracle online diagnosis, just some reassurance and a general idea if it's 'the done thing' to blank off or remove the EGR pipe. Gasket replaced anyway and there's a big difference :)
Now I'm just learning to get to know all her little foibles.

Newbies Techie Teething problems

After lots of help on this fab forum and searching the UK we have finally taken the plunge and bought our 1st Bongo, 'Libby'. (short for Liberty!)

Very excited as you can imagine, but Im afraid to say we're having a few teething problems. :(

Re: Lookin for my first Bongo - help please!

Feeling a bit bongoed out but feeling a lot more ready to make a purchase thanks to you guys and a lot of looking!

Had a good day yesterday and with our visit to Dicksons, Dairsie and Campercraft and a private owner, feel much more knowledgable and know roughly what we are looking for. Had a good ...
