No why?

The lady asking is West Midlands which is why I replied, thought the chap who did mine in notingham might be useful to her?

Re: How much for a full respray & rear wheel arch replacemen

I replaced my rotten rear wheel arches and had a complete overhaul and respray in the same colour back in June cost me £1500 and it looked fantastic! :D

Well worth the money and she looks brand new now

Re: Wood burning stove and USB charger

Wowsers never realised sharing something so simple would get so many opinionated replies ;) I get it, most of you think this is a waste of time, a waste of money and it won'y do what it says on the tin. But I happen to like the idea, its neat, its innovative and yes its eco friendly... which is exac...

Wood burning stove and USB charger

Oooh I definitely need one of these for Betty Bongo! This would be perfect for heating up the awning, boiling the kettle and charging my phone and iPod and it's eco friendly too :) And not a bad price either and just the right size to pack away under the R&R bed :) http://i81.photobucket.com/alb...

Re: Betty Bongo has a shiny new coat

I paid £1500 :) I went to see Phil and said the main thing was to replace the rotten wheel arches and the rust/damage to the nearside rear where I had clipped the corner of our side extension one day, thinking it was a wheelie bin! We walked around her and looked at all the other age related...

Betty Bongo has a shiny new coat

I've had my Bongo for just over 4 years now and as you'd expect with a 20 year old van she was starting to look a bit tired and tatty and had succumbed to the dreaded rear wheel arch rust which was getting pretty bad and creeping along the sills. http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j235/queen_gravelpa...

Re: Flat spot at 40mph?

Thanks for all the replies.

She's been doing this for a long time now but it seems to have got worse more recently?

The tyres are standard size so that's dveinitely not the problem.

Will try and check all th filters over the weekend and then take it from there.

Flat spot at 40mph?

I have a '95 2.5 4WD On the whole she drives very nicely, smooth gear changes and good acceleration but there's a flat spot/loss of power at 40mph? It's a pain in the arse if I am driving in a 40 zone as I either have to keep her at about 35 or just over 40, not ideal if there are speed cameras! I h...

Re: Reliable garage/repairs near Nottingham?

Thanks for the details for the wheel arches :)
Have you had yours done yet? Are you going for full cut out and weld option and is Phil touching up the paintwork too?

I don't mind travelling to Leicester for a garage if they do a good job!

Reliable garage/repairs near Nottingham?

I'm looking for somewhere to take my Bongo for servicing and repairs in the Nottingham area if possible? I used to use Hillside Leisure in Derby but I haven't been happy with them the last couple of visits, they dont seem interested in an N reg 'old banger' even though my Bongo is well looked after ...

Re: Leisure battery on last legs?

Thanks for the replies, I have just spoken to the auto electrician at 321away and he thinks one of the cells is knackered on the LB as its not holding its charge.

I'm going down there tomorrow so he can do a drop test.

Leisure battery on last legs?

I've only had my bongo 11 days and before I take it on any overnight excursions I'm testing everything. My leisure battery seems to charge up fine when I'm driving and when I have the mains hook up plugged in. I have a PMS3v/H panel and when I've driven anywhere and flick the car/off/van switch to v...
