Selling a Bongo

Hi all, I've got a white/silver 2001 reg petrol Bongo, unconverted, that I'm looking to part with. It was much loved, but we just don't use it anymore. Overall it is in pretty good condition, but it does have a bit of rust in one arch, and currently the battery is flat, and its got an air lock somew...

Re: 7 days till departure to france/spain - advice required

One word of advice if you go any where near Madrid in your travels. Whilst we were driving through Madrid in March, we had two 'fake' police cars pull us over... basically, if its not a marked car with officers in uniform, don't stop. There's a hotline number you can ring if someone does try to stop...

Re: Hard-wiring a TomTom One

I use a 5V 2Amp regulator pushed up behind the cabin light, and pick off the 12 volt unswitched power feed from the cabin spot lights feed; Hmmm... something like this? http://www.rapidonline.com/sku/Electronic-Components/Integrated-Circuits/Voltage-Regulators-Linear/2A-Fixed-voltage-regulators-nda...

Hard-wiring a TomTom One

I've got a TomTom One which I use in the Bongo, but I'd like to free up the lighter socket.

Looking at the lighter adapter, it looks like it outputs 5V @ 2A.

What do I need to do to replace the adaptor so I can hard-wire the connection?

Thanks.

Re: Sidelight, Dashlights and Foglight = MOT fail - help!

Sounds like the same problem I've just had! In my case, it was the relay that failed, causing side lights / tail lights / front fogs / dashboard illumination to all fail, as they're all on the same relay. Bongobits were very helpful, and are sending a relay out to me, so if that is what has failed f...

Re: Sidelights, rear lights and dashboard.

Just found this topic whilst trying to diagnose the same problem. Looking at the relevant relay, its completely blown! It just looks like a molten mess of plastic & copper. I was wondering if I should look for a further cause of such a drastic failure, or is this the sort of thing that can happe...
