Grab handles on rear door

Just in the middle of our pre-spring tart up, I see the grab handles at the back (light grey) are looking a bit manky....anyone refinished or repainted them? They feel as if they are plastic or plastic coated, and so I'm not sure how to tidy them up...... :?:

Re: internet on the go (again!)

Brill advice thanks all, I will sort it out........by the way...I didn't know there were muncipal sites in Germany, I will have a look as the plan is to start at the Vosges/Rhine...down thro the Alps to Provence, then Camargue, then Pyrenees, home via West France or N.Spain/Ferry.

internet on the go (again!)

Hi all, Well it's a wander round across the channel for us this year. We are going for about 4-5 weeks (!!), and so we need some internet access without searching out cafes all the time. We expect to stay mostly on municipal type sites on a touring basis. At the moment we have a couple of cheapo PAY...

Re: loos on french aires

Thanks for the info!
I will get kitted out with a guide I think. We have stayed in the Dordogne in June in a gite, and It was quiet then, so we assume it will be in May thro early June.
Cheers!!

loos on french aires

Hi all,
Looking at 4 or 5 weeks round the edge of France this year May into June (Vosges/Alps/Camargue/Pyrenees) do any, or a significant number of Aires have a (useable!) toilet facility? We are planning on using a lot of Camping Municipal, but Aires would make a useful add-on for flexibility....?

Re: Low watt electric camping heater

Dimplex do a 500w thermostatic nightwatch heater. The element is well shielded and the thermostat is good. We have used it a lot this year and left it on overnight many times. It is not large, neither is it cheap.....but IMO ideal for a bongo.

Re: Lightwieght plywood

I have a contact (branch manager) at TP, he was unable to supply a lightweight or Vohringer ply at any cheaper rate for me. In the end it was cheaper for me to go from Derby to Wisbech (Rainbow) to collect the Vohringer sheets. I had worked out my cutting plan beforehand, and so was able to ask Rain...

Re: slight smell of burning

Thanks for the extra pointers, I have good a good (abiet slightly large) nose!, I am the one always assigned to smell the milk!!....deffo scorch/burn, not hot engine....it always smells hot! My 'normal' temp reading is pretty high, and as it just clips the red then the Mason alarm is set to warble (...

Thanks!, I will short the sensor (I have searched 'scavenger fan test', and found a post from Helen and Tony on how to do this) and see what happens!

slight smell of burning

Hi, Just back from a week in sunny Somerset......scaling a long Exmoor hill, near the very top I noticed a smell of burning, this was, I reckon, just about when the 'fan' kicks in. To clarify....this would be the engine fan would it,rather than the fan that runs when the a/c is operating ?....that b...
