Re: Wiring Diagram
Adobe are saying they will be blocking content using Flash from running in browsers and desktops. Does this imply that, even if I've not deleted Flash, I will still not be able to access the circuit diagrams?

Re: VSR and solar panel - issue?
Geoff, I do leave the ignition on for a while when I'm attaching the external screens on the windscreen and doors, as I have to open and close the windows. From the Glow Plug Fact Sheet, it seems that the plugs stay on until the engine warms up. I think I will have to go back to the alternator conne...

That's what I was afraid of. Won't work for me then; I'll have to see if I can swap the kit for a simple relay kit. From this I concluded that the VSR (annoyingly) does flow both ways.
Thanks for clarifying that - it saves me a lot of bother.

Re: VSR and solar panel - issue?
Hi Geoff. Thanks for your reply. I'm still not sure if the Durite is dual sensing or not. It doesn't say on the technical document, so I'd originally assumed not; but one of the Facebook crew says he's got one and it is dual sensing. One factor I don't get about single sensing VSRs though, which see...

VSR and solar panel - issue?
I've just removed a Heath Robinson split charge relay arrangement, and had planned to install a proper 140A voltage-sensing relay setup (Durite). I've already got an 80W solar panel connected via a controller to the feed from the leisure battery. But I'm beginning to have my doubts. Here's the probl...

Re: Cut out - no fault?
Whoa - I can't keep up! No, I'd not had it idling on the drive. Start first pull, deploy mirrors, edge back on closed throttle, cuts out after 10 yards.

Re: Cut out - no fault?
Thanks both. It certainly looks like there wasn't fuel in the filter, for whatever reason, so I'll take a proper look. Dave at the garage had checked for fuel leaks, but I realise that may not account for air getting in somewhere. It had been standing for a month, so plenty of time for a gradual lea...

Cut out - no fault?
Started the Bongo (2.5 diesel R-reg) yesterday, after a four-week break. Began to reverse down the drive, but after 30 secs the engine cut out suddenly, and showed no signs of restarting. Called the RAC, who eventually sprayed some Easy Start into the air intake which, after a lot of cranking, led t...

Re: Mains supply puts 15volts on leisure battery - ok?
Does the transformer have some additional mains taps i.e. 230v 240v 250v if so try putting it on the highest voltage that will cause the secondary to be at its lowest value. It may be a case of moving a wire on a chocblock type connector, or possibly an extra tap on the transformer itself which mig...

Re: Mains supply puts 15volts on leisure battery - ok?
The power supply is an Estrasil PB10, made by B C Electrical Techniques Ltd near Aylesbury. I've now had some correspondence with the company, though it hasn't really resolved the issue. The company generally designs and sells transformers. The PB10 appears to me to be basically a mains transformer,...

Re: Mains supply puts 15volts on leisure battery - ok?
Thanks for the responses. I realise that 15 volts is deemed on the high side, but the Estrasil is quite widely used on caravans and campers, I understand. I'll see if I can get a response from the makers.

Mains supply puts 15volts on leisure battery - ok?
My Bongo conversion has a 75Ah 'maintenance-free' lead-acid leisure battery. On a mains hookup, the 12v supply is provided by an Estrasil PB10 Mk6 transformer, specified output being 12voltsDC at 7.5A continuous, 10A intermittent. I've recently fitted a Nasa battery monitor for the leisure battery. ...

Re: The Rust Directory
I've used the Rustmaster branch in Cheshire, near Knutsford. Excellent service, includingn a free inspection and touch-up where necessary every year. Nick has a Bongo himself, which is a good omen. For rust repairs I've been going to C.A.R.S. on Talbot Street, Fulwood, Preston PR2 3QJ. 01772 715057....

Re: Temperature gauge and radiator fan not working
Thanks NB. I've installed a new sensor, having checked that the circuit was ok by earthing the connector. It's working fine now. I bled the system, following the procedure in the workshop manual. However, since then I've watched the three-parter on YouTube and developed advanced paranoia! The coolan...
