Bongo friendly body shop...

Rear arches and a few other rust spots on my Bongo need some attention, can anyone recommend a body shop in West Yorks, nearer to Bingley the better. Cheers :-)

Re: Alternative Cat Flap. ACF

I like that. If I currently had two working hands I'd be giving that a go.

I made some bed boards last year which left a gap at the boot end so the kids could get up and down easier, but your solution is far neater.

Re: Recommend me some front drop links............

if the droplinks are not lasting you may have other problems that are causing them to go early, like duff shockers, or worn/snapped antirollbar bushes/brackets etc ARB bushes were done at the same time and I assume the shocks are OK. Read about using Vectra ones before but a Bongo weighs a fair bit...

Recommend me some front drop links............

.............that'll last for longer than 1500 miles. :?

That's how long I got out of the ones fitted to my Bongo earlier this year before they started knocking.

So who's currently supplying the best quality front drop links? Are the Blueprint ones from the club shop worth the money?

Re: MOT Fail :-( track rod ball joint cover deteriorated

I'm just back from my local garage with my Bongo to have a knock at the front investigated. Turns out the front drop links I had fitted in January for the MOT have failed already :-( And the OSF ball joint boot fitted at the same time is perishing too. I bought the parts and the garage fitted them s...

I need to get some rust on mine sorted soon. Could you give me an idea of the work done and the costs involved?
You can PM me if you don't want to post details in public on the forum.
Many thanks,
Simon

Re: exhaust very smokey and going through a lot of diesal...

I think they all burn fuel at an alarming rate  EGR can be blanked easily - there are loads of threads on here about it. If you google Allans Vehicle Services, they sell plates specifically for the bongo. I did mine and was happy with the result. Hopefully that will solve all your troubles. ...

Re: Low coolant alarm driving me nuts.

As has already been said, get it swapped over to an iginition circuit asap, otherwise you don't get the test beep to say it's working when ignition is turned on.
That's my plan, just not sure how to do it

Re: Low coolant alarm driving me nuts.

What would the LB voltage need to drop to for the LCA to go off?

LCA is going off now and LB is show 12.5v with my cheapo voltage tester.
