Unfortunately not heard back from Mike yet. He may be away / busy but does anyone know him well enough to give him a shout ? Thanks for the tips / link. It looks easy enough bar the skinned knuckles and moderate swearing to actually pull the seal out ......
Just need a seal now .......

Re: Power steering Top pinion oil seal... at last
Hi Mike - I desperately need one of these top seals. Have you got any in stock please ? [-o< Steering rack started leaking a year ago, but needed to stay mobile so opted for the Lucas seal restorer. It took 2 bottles but worked well enough for about 10,000 miles and twice around the Alps..... Unfort...

Re: engine/belt squeal
I would certainly not recommend WD-40 on belts.....
I use drive belt dressing on the Bongo and various other motors - it works really well.
Look for BD-90 or something like this : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251434046482?

Re: RX8 Steering wheel
This sounds great - is there anything else required other than the RX8 wheel with airbag ? Do the connections (clockspring)work without any modification ? What about the buttons for radio controls ?
Any extra fitting info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Re: drivers seat
I rejuvenated mine by covering all the sharp metal edges inside with carry mat foam and duct tape, plus some jiffy bags in the base - it might not sound great but did the job nicely. Problem is they are sized for japanese backsides, so at 6'6" I tend to press against the metal corners, so a pad...

Re: Ferry Advice
I've done that trip 4 times now in a Bongo and going back to the Alps again in September. DFDS Dover to Dunkirk is the way to go, book directly with them on line and it can be as low as £28 each way (off peak, night crossing, advance booking). Advantage is driving on quiet UK roads in the evening, a...
