Re: tracing coolant leak.

Yea I have a leak somewhere - ended up stuck on the M25 last week with steam coming out the cap/hose and the temp having shot up to H. Tank was empty. AA man did pressure tests - no problem, we could find no sign of leaks. He tested cap - vented at 1.1bar. So I drove home and the expansion tank was ...

Re: health warning

Sounds like a good idea Pippin, i don't think people realise there dealing with a bomb if handled incorrectly. I think a good dose of safety first is the order of the day on this one. Rich  Sshhh don't give them terrists ideas! Next thing we know it they'll try and use a car with petrol, gas ...

I went to my local lockie and he cut 8 keys before he gave up. Some worked in the ignition with a lot of wriggling but no door locks, or vice verca. Most just didn't work. Maybe he was clueless - but... oh I'm not a key expert.

I'll try somewhere else.

So what I want to know is... anyone in the south east want to introduce me to kite surfing - ie show me the ropes (and tempt me to spend too ...

Windows I used a window closure module from falcon alarms - mentioned elsewhere on the site. BUT ASK FOR THE HIGH POWER EDITION and mention "Paul Hedderly" - It is a fab little module when you get the right one... The drivers door window motor is Green and Red/Blue - need to take Green to ...

No probs. Got a load of other wiring notes I want to write up - like for the rear blinds, door mirrors etc. I wired up my alarm to close the front windows, pull in the mirrors and lower the rear blinds when I lock. It's quite fun to see the Bongo shut itsel' up nicely :O)

The relay for the door locks is behind the glovebox. So remove the glovebox - three connectors there right in front of you (green white blue) ignore them. The relay you want is behind them, the connector is on the bottom - it is an 8-way with six wires Now... colours I think you want the red and red...

Are you measuring that 11.8v under load or quiescent though - that was my question. You are so right that you can (should) only use 50-60% of a cranking lead acid's "capacity" though other types are much more forgiving... My Hawker cyclons have been very very abused over 11 years... often ...
