Re: Both headlights failed, dip and main beam
Hello Geoff, Not sure it is a faulty relay which was a pig to get off, but I have ordered a black relay J150 DC 12v IMASEN which is the same number as the one fitted. This relay number was used 2004/5 on this new late model Bongo, and the Mazda MX5 of the same years. Christmas post means I will prob...

Re: Both headlights failed, dip and main beam
Thanks Geoff. The blue light is lit on the dash when I hold the stalk to flash position, but the blue light on the dash does not light up when the main beam position is used on the stalk. As I live fairly local to you, do you happen to know anyone that that can sort it out at a reasonable cost/dista...

Both headlights failed, dip and main beam
2004 Bongo 2.0 petrol. My Bongo was not used for a short time and the battery went flat. Charged it and it runs well. However, my headlights, both dip and main beam do not work. The stalk will light the flash main beam ok, and sidelights, etc are all working. Cannot see any bulb issues, so I think f...

Front o/s brake caliper wanted! 2004 Bongo 2.0
Looking for a good secondhand twin cylinder brake caliper for a 2004 2.0 Bongo, driver side. Current caliper lower cylinder is sticking/nearly seized. Anything considered. Cheers John. [email protected]

Diagnosing an engine noise
I have a 2004 2.0 petrol/auto Bongo which has a whirring noise when revved and held at a light throttle. Obvious things like alternator (already replaced), power steering pump, air con pump, belt tensioner, and fan belt can be discounted, as the noise still exists when all the external belts are off...

Re: Source for Lambda oxygen sensor 2004 2 litre petrol auto
All done! Lambda sensor ordered from the Bongo shop on here and delivered promptly. It's been fitted by the garage and I also had the bongo MOT'd successfully at the same time. The 2 litre auto is proving costly to run as fuel consumption has been poor, and the repair costs for central locking and l...

Re: Source for Lambda oxygen sensor 2004 2 litre petrol auto
Thanks for the reply, and reference. The stores on here identify my 2004 vehicle chassis number as having a 4 wire lambda sensor, a 'Type 3', not the type 2 fitted earlier in the earlier SGEW model production run. The stores also have the Type 3 items in stock, £275, less discount. I am just waiting...

Source for Lambda oxygen sensor 2004 2 litre petrol auto
My engine warning light has come on, and I have found out it is the oxygen sensor that needs replacing. I cannot find one locally, so does anyone know of any good source for these anywhere? I believe genuine mazda ones are very expensive if you can find them. Any help is very much appreciated. MOT i...

Re: O/S door interior handle and door central locking solenoid
All sorted a week ago, with a drivers door lock solenoid and interior door handle being obtained with prompt delivery from bongospares.co.uk in Sowerby Bridge. Very helpful and responsive staff were a credit to the company. I also relined the door plastic moisture sheet, and obtained some 3mm butyl ...

O/S door interior handle and door central locking solenoid
Bongo 2.0 petrol 2004. I urgently need a driver's side grey interior chrome door handle, plus a central locking solenoid, with/without locking assembly for the driver's door. Any help will be very welcome!

Re: Reset of central locking after jumpstart
Sounds more like the drivers door solenoid is not happy, its not something that can get out of sync as such, there all powered from the same system in the these later vehicles it appears. Suggest you get the door card off and inspect the drivers door solenoid maybe be ready to replace it if necessa...
