Re: Damage to under door trim - is this repairable?

Sorry - supplemental question. The white clips engage in 2 different directions, depending which end of the trim they are on. Does that mean that when refitting the trim, the white clips need to be put in place in the trim, then the trim is pressed into the Bongo? I had assumed the other way around,...

Damage to under door trim - is this repairable?

I've just managed to remove the passenger side long piece of trim the runs under the front and rear doors as this was damaged by a knock recently. It looks like several of the white tabs have broken, which are easily replaced (from a guy on ebay who is 3d printing them for £1 each. But, 2 of the fem...

Bongo repairs in north Bristol? Damage to skirt

Hi. I've got some minor damage to the passenger side skirt, a couple of the tabs have detached and I cant remove the fixings to slide the skirt off and back on again. I've used ADS in Bristol previously, but it's a bit of a journey back to Horfield, and driving over there is more convoluted since th...

Roof vent - do I need one?

I have a JAL converted Bongo with a mushroom roof. The fitted mushroom type air vent has cracked and is leaking, so needs replacing. There's also an issue that the roof sags slightly around the vent, probably under its own weight, which causes rain water to pool in that area and flood in through the...

Additive to use with E10 in France?

Hi. We're driving around Europe for 2 months, starting in France.

I don't know how easy it is to get E5 fuel, if I have to use E10 is there a useful additive available in France?

Thanks!

Re: Bongo Windscreen Replacement in Bristol?

Thanks, but it wont be a DIY job for me unfortunately!

I'll obviously use my insurance if possible, but I've heard examples of ridiculous quotes for insurance work that go beyond the amount covered by £100s. Also, I need to get this sorted in the next 2 weeks...

Bongo Windscreen Replacement in Bristol?

Hi. I've got an unrepairable chip in my windscreen. I'm currently waiting to hear back from my insurer, but I suspect it might come down to me to find somewhere local that can do the work. I've used ADS previously , but they've just told me they dont have the equipment to carry out replacements. Som...

Re: Leisure & Starter battery always reading the same voltage!?

I think this is probably beyond my level of understanding. I cant see where the relay is (I have a Zig unit, does that do the job instead?). There doesnt seem to be anything else wired into the positive to positive connection (other than fuses). I just checked the voltage across the 2 batteries with...

Re: Leisure & Starter battery always reading the same voltage!?

Not connected to any EHU. Voltage starts at around 12.4 dropping to about 12 when the fridge has been on for 3 hours.

I've not had any issues starting the engine, but the fridge is switching off after less than 10 hours (admittedly, most recently in very high temperatures)

Leisure & Starter battery always reading the same voltage!?

I've been testing my leisure battery and how long it will power my fridge via its 12v supply. So I've been measuring the voltage every 30 mins or so, with a multimeter across the terminals. Weirdly (to me anyway) the starter battery's voltage seems to drop at the same rate roughly. As far as I know,...

Re: Cool box / Fridge help

Thanks Geoff. I'd never have guessed it was possible to connect my fridge to a laptop by usb!

What's a sensible cut off to avoid damaging a leisure battery (standard lead, not lithium)?

Re: Cool box / Fridge help

Hi. Sorry, butting in slightly.

Will those 12v fridges run until they drain the leisure battery, or do they usually include some sort of intelligent shut down to protect it? ie switch off when leisure battery down to 50%?

Obviously not an issue if driving or hooked up to AC.

Fiamma F35 Pro + VW T3 brackets - mushroom roof -any tips?

Hi. Hopefully this is my last post about Fiamma awnings... Thanks to people on this site, I've worked out that my best option was a F35 awning with T3 brackets and the kit arrived today. Offering the brackets up to the Bongo shows they are a pretty good fit, but maybe dont quite sit at the very bott...

Re: Mushroom roof and fiamma awnings

Hi. Just trying to resurrect an old thread, as I'm in exactly the same position. I'd like to out an F35 on a mushroom roof A couple of questions: Did you have to remove the original metal hook point that the pole used to close the roof loops over? Or does it fit behind the awning if you use T3 or T4...

ARB Awning on gutter rails?

Hi. Has anyone fitted an ARB awning to their Bongo's gutter rails? Looks like these awnings are primarily designed to fit to roof bars, but maybe brackets are available for a gutter rail? Also, any experience with the ARB side panels that create an enclosed room - looks interesting and maybe an alte...
