Re: Quick anti roll bar linkage question.

I forgot to ask, I don't suppose anyone has some torque figures for the nuts at all? Going to ring local motor factors and as have some time off might give it a bash. Quite literally going by some of the things I read

Quick anti roll bar linkage question.

Bah, MOT failure (1st) on the upper anti-roll bar linkage ball joint dust cover and excessive play in near/offside anti-roll bar linkages. I've searched and I think just a set of new drop links for the front will cure all the above faults. Have I got that right, and is it those that the vectra ones ...

Re: Fuel Consumption worrying me somewhat. roughly 20mpg

Just to pick up on Doones comment, is it fairly simple to check if the EGR is stuck?

Re: Where did that oil come from?

Well what do you know .... kept a rough eye on this over the last couple of weeks. Still getting a leak from underside of the filter. I haven't taken it off yet to check the seal. As I said before, I don't think I've ever had this issue before with an oil filter. What's involved in this bypass/balan...

Re: Quick ATF oil qustion

When I pop in next weekend, I'll check the blurb on the bottle. Actually, I might ring tomorrow to make sure they've got some.

Let's say the wording is off but pic is correct, then I'm safe to go ahead one presumes?

Quick ATF oil qustion

If I bought 2 of these, that would be plenty and the right stuff to use when I get round to doing the ATF oil change in a couple of weeks wouldn't it?

Re: Where did that oil come from?

I smeared the seal with oil, on each filter. Not sure I like the sound of this sticking valve business though....

Hopefully this new one should be ok, seal was not as wide on the Comline filter as it was on the Fram. After a run today, no filter drips so time will tell, fingers crossed etc etc ...

Re: Where did that oil come from?

Well this liitle issue has raised it's head again. Had a replacement filter, same make and part No.(Fram PH6355). The same thing has happened with the seal. Is this something I have done?? The seal was fine before I put the replacement on. Too tight? Have now bought a Comline CMB11321 (which I notic...

Re: 18.4 mpg - is this the worst ?

Without wanting to hijack the thread, I had a look for the alignment figures the other day. Do you have them handy at all NB?

My local tyre place said he would do -1. Not sure what that means when it's all 4 wheels. Might try to go up on pressure then. 215/70/r15 all round at 34F and 36R atm.

Re: Should these plugs be together?

Thanks to all. From experience, I know the oil light works *cough* so, anyway, after reading the posts, decide to connect. No adverse affects, I haven't unplugged it before, so unsure it it has been forgotten at some stage before or done for a reason. Found turbo hose jubilee clip needed tightening ...

Re: 18.4 mpg - is this the worst ?

Just topped up to brim after a 'right, time to see what we doing' 1st brim. After 346.4km (odo reading), filled with 52.44 litres put that into the calculator and .... ouch. 18.66mpg  That's with a lot of short runs lately though, and I mean short, 2 mile trips at best. I decided to check the...

Should these plugs be together?

Whilst looking for the cause of my oil leak the other day, I happened to notice that this little fella in the engine block has a wire with no home. I also noticed that in it's close vicinity, looked a place that was ready to take it in. Now before I do, what actually am I powering back into life? I ...

Re: Where did that oil come from?

Well I didn't notice this when I put it on, but got it replaced and I had lost the reciept :), but I reckon this had been going on for a while and sloshed out with a slight sloping drive and (maybe) violent movement from Mrs. Cosmic lol. http://img840.imageshack.us/img840/728/img0285ko.jpg Hopefully...

Re: Where did that oil come from?

Hopefully mystery solved. Decided to take her for a run to get some good temp in, primarily for the gearbox. Well that looks very clear but is just a shade under minimum. Gave it a couple of hours and got the torch out. Can now see a drip forming under the oil filter. Turbo hose looks like it has ha...
