Re: V6 questions
Ive had both, a 2.5td diesel and a V6 Petrol and from that experience its Diesel for me every time. More robust mechanics, many engines have past 200,000 on the clock. V6 is very thirsty and believe it or not despite BHP differences, there is not much between the two on the road performance wise. In...

Re: Disneyland March
Yes it can be a bit hush hush at times, we and she have to be careful what we say to whom and when while at the park but as from being the job from hell, our 18 year old daughter is having the time of her life, to have on your CV that you had a major position within the Disney Corporation is pricele...

Re: Disneyland March
We have just come back from there, Chunnel crossing was at 2pm, journey was 3 1/2 hrs (in the snow) and we were sat in the O'Berge restaurant eating our meal with the Princesses at 8pm the same evening. We were visiting our daughter at Christmas who works there as one of the performing characters, n...

Re: V6 Low Power Problem
We've had our Bongo V6 for about three years now and love it dearly, probably more than anything else we've had (and we've had some really nice motors). The kids love it too and we've had some great times in the Bongatron. Our girl's only 3 and when she says 'I love my Bongo...' wistfully it just b...

Re: where can I buy a battery for my 2.5 d mazda battery?
Halfords as they have 3 and 5 year warranty batteries on offer, Motorbitz are alright oh and Makro (if you have a trade card) have some good offers on right now too. Even Halfords "offers" are way dearer than Performance Batteries normal price - i.e. about double. Yes a bit expensive but ...

Re: Battery charging with a Willinton Kit
In my experience and as a rule of thumb, when charging a car battery it is advisable to disconnect it from the cars electrical system.
Only just purchased a new vehicle battery charger at the weekend and it is written in the instruction/guidine booklet that was in the box.

[quote="Simon Jones"]I know you're all a really shy bunch out there in Wiltshire, Dorset, Somerset etc, so lets do what the Devon/Cornwall lot have done & have a roll call to see who/where you are. R93 PEL, Silver AutoFreeTop, live in Salisbury, only tend to take "Bongie" out...

Re: V6 Low Power Problem
I suspect poor air flow intake and or timing is a tad retarded. I have a v6 and it will accelerate like no other van i have owned and i have had a few. Never timed it but i am sure 0 to 60 would be around the 10 seconds and have had 120 on the speedo once. Only tried this the once you understand aft...

Re: 2 litre Bongo
Its good Mazda tech so providing its been looked after should be trouble free motoring. I hear claims of 28 to 35 mpg here on the forum, only had a diesel and v6 petrol myself so can only go off that.

Re: Age, mileage, price conundrum
Age and mileage are less important than condition and price. I wouldn't pay a lot for a young, low mileage example that hasn't been maintained properly, just because it was new and had a low mileage. But I would buy an older, higher mileage one that has been properly looked after. Aside from mechan...

Re: Newbie and have a fog light question?
Hi all Bongo Owners............. which i am proud of now on saturday..............anyway........ Is it true that in the rear light clusters, there is no fog light? I want to find out because when we picked our bongo up, their was a seperate small square fog light at the bottom by the bumper. To act...
