Re: Bongo died in France with lots of white smoke out of bac
Thanks for the advice, I get the feeling that it will be a reconditioned engine, and I will get a coolant alarm. I can't be without my bongo.

Bongo died in France with lots of white smoke out of back
My Bongo died on the motorway in France. Suddenly no power and a large cloud of white smoke out of the back for a few minutes. It has now been repatriated to a garage in the UK. I had assumed Head Gasket etc. They called me to say that they feel it needs a replacement engine as the heat with no flui...

Re: Breakdown cover for the over sixteens
Just went with the Green Insurance Company. I wanted european cover. £99.00 (beats the big boys by between 60 and £160) UK cover was £59.00. For £19.95 I get personal cover so I can cancel my other car cover. An extra £9.95 got me Key cover. Having lost my key for the first time in 25 years maybe it...

Re: Windscreen washers not working
The front washer pump Front Windscreen Washer Pump Ford Fairlane 76-03 fits and works a treat. What pump will fit the rear washer bit. I am sure this front one could be manipulated to fit, but to save the hassle of rewiring etc is there one that will fit to replace the rear pump. At least I will get...

Re: Windscreen washers not working
Are you sure that they are on different fuses. I makes sense to have the washer pump and the wiper on the same fuse. I am sure I read somewhere that that is the case. If it isn't can some one tell me which fuses before I take the bongo to bits again. I am just about to send off for a pump that will ...

Re: Windscreen washers not working
Is it possible to test the pump in an easy way. I have removed the washer bottle and pumps attached. Blowing through the washer pipes they all appear clear. There was gunk in the bottle coming out of the removed bottle via the pumps so I washed the bottle out and put cleaned the connections to the p...

Re: Silly question I know. but where is the horn hidden.
I took the brave step and decided to take the steering wheel off. After a long seach it recommended in places to disconnect the battery. A good idea so the Air Bag doesn't go off in my face. I took the rubber bungs off, but for the life of me could not get the 4 bolts from the underside of the wheel...

Re: Silly question I know. but where is the horn hidden.
How do I get to the horn to change it. Do I have to remove the headlight? Or is that going to be difficult. To check it is the horn can I just wire up a lead from the +ve terminal of the battery and touch the lead on the horn as the chassis should presumeably be earth. Or do I need to run a second w...
