Re: Breakdown Insurance

This 2gether insurance looks really interesting. Till now I've been covered by Europassist for foreign trips, and AutoAid for UK recovery. Europassist has just sent a very nice letter saying how desolated they are that they can no longer provide cover as the Bongo (actually a Freda) is now ancient h...

Re: London Low Emissions Zone

Hi In a previous post I said I'd let you know what I did if I got LEZ exemption. I wrote a letter (in my wife's name, as she is the registered keeper) to the DVLA pointing out, amongst other things, that there was no Revenue weight recorded, and suggesting that one could reasonably be calculated (th...

Re: Putting back carpet after mending earthing on sender

Thanks to everyone who replied - I'll try earthing the tank first, then take up the carpet if that fails. The less I have to disturb, the happier I am.

Cheers

Putting back carpet after mending earthing on sender

Hi The fact sheet on re-earthing the sender is great, but I'm loathe to just pull up the carpet, as I don't know how to put it back (sounds timid, I know, but I don't want to screw things up). To remove the carpet, do I have to remove any trim first? If so, how easy is it to put back? Any assistance...

Re: Dreaded Hold light flashing after fuel pump replacement

Again - thanks to all who replied - after much piddling about, it turned out that the fuel pump was still defective (although cured enough to get me home from Greece). I replaced the fuel pump with a second hand one, and all is now cured.

How do you close these theads when complete?

Re: Dreaded Hold light flashing after fuel pump replacement

Thanks to everyone who's replied so far - I'll try tinkering with the TPS when I get home to Exeter this weekend. Otherwise I'll contact the Plymouth people mentioned above - they may be able to help. How do I find the fact sheets mentioned above - all I can find are a few about reversing seats, etc...

Dreaded Hold light flashing after fuel pump replacement

Hello Whilst travelling through northern Greece recently, my fuel pump died and spewed fuel all over the shop. I had to get it rebuilt at a Bosch diesel specialists, but after they replaced it, the hold light started flashing regularly (one flash for about 1 second, then off for about 1 second). I t...
