Again, through the collective knowledge of this forum, another successful repair has been done. Special thanks are due to Cheffy 34 (Dar) who steered me down the correct path. =D>

Dar, thanks for the advice.....Kirsty, also many thanks for the diagram :D .Gonna see if i can get a new gasket, and sort it live-o.....before it kills me newly re-cond alternator. By the by, the lads who did re-con my alternator are tops!, cant recommend them enough. They removed, re-conditioned it...

Power steering pump leaking (V6)

Can anyone tell me if there is a way to stop the power steering pump leaking,other than replacing it with a new one [-o< ?......turns out that this is what actually killed my alternator :( (see my other recent post in Techie).
Been an expensive week so far, and I am not out of the woods yet :x

Well, the diagnosis is, non-functioning alternato :( r.........currently residing at a local auto electricians, who are going to remove and re-condition it, and re-fit it and warranty it for 12 months.....all for the sum of £160.00 sterling, didnt think that sounded too bad, as my breif research int...

dashboard battery chargingwarning light (V6)

Just come home from a short run to the gym, and noticed the battery charge warning light has come on. Had a quick look under the passy seat and the alternator is still there, with belt intact. Anything obvious i should be checking (fuse, relay) before i take her to a garage?........any help greatly ...

I just this evening fitted a new double din radio with dvd,tv, satnav, bluetooth etc all i needed was a mazda to iso converter cables 14.99 from halfords, cheaper online but I wanted it now. The only slight problem was i could not work out the fixing bracket with the new one but it fitted exactly t...
