I'll flush the whole system this weekend - see what goop comes out!

Brown sludge
Hi, I've got brown sludge in the header tank and evidence of it when i take the rad cap off. There's no sticky mayonnaise in the oil either.
I've had been losing water for the last few months (about 1/2 litre a week) which i've been topping up with coolant/water. I eventually tracked this down to a ...

Horn not working
Hi, my horn has stopped working today : (
Previous symptoms: had to hold the horn buttons down for at least 10 seconds before it sounded. Then it would work fine. If i didn't use it for a day or so I would have to repeat this process.
Before i start poking around tomorrow anybody had similar ...

Re: Wet drivers floor
just had to top up once a week but not much.
If you're topping up the coolant once a week then ask yourself where the coolant goes?? - out of the system (via a leak) and more than likely your floor. Coolant levels hardly go down over a long period of time, let alone a week. You should really get ...

Re: Can't start, won't start...
UPDATE 4: ok - finally took it to Discount trucks (great bunch by-the-way) and they had it for 3 weeks (did a complete major service and a few other bits and pieces). The air in the system was caused by fractured fuel lines (the metal ones that go into the injectors) - apparently 90% of fuel ...

Update 3:
Ok - wouldn't start this morning so am now going to crawl about again underneath with a good torch and see if i can find any cracks in the pipes.
Then i'll think about the fuel pump (any ideas where to get hold of seals etc? - usual suspects - bongobits/bell hill?). There aren't any ...

Update 2: wouldn't start again today so performed diagnostics 101 (ie wigglin all the pipes) and found the return pipe was boned). So i chopped of the end and put a new clip on and hey presto - problem solved : )

Re: Can't start, won't start...
Update: got the AA round and they managed to get it going :D - used a pump to force fuel into the fuel pump as there was no fuel in the filter or connecting hoses. Took to my local garage who had it up on the ramps all day, but they couldn't find a leak as such and suggested replacing the hoses and ...

Hi, went to start the beast this morning and it just turns over and over and over... its parked facing up a hill (not a steep one). Its started right on the money every time in the 2+ years i've had it so i can only think it could be:

I posted a week or so ago that i thought my rear axle was broke. Well it is very broke (sheared splines and missing teeth). I basically need a 'new' one, but realise that a 'new' one is unobtainable so has anyone got any suggestions for peeps to contact?
