Okay. Andy of AVA very kindly rang me back. Even tho he is off today to say he has a green one in his bongo. £10/15 I wish £37 mate and I paid next day postage on top. there is some serious Hang gliding to be done this weekend

Hi Kirsty thanks for the heads up on temperature sender. Quick question. I was always led to believe the sender should alway be a grey colour. AVA have sent a green one. Typicaly they are not answering the phone. Am i safe to take my greens :D .

No worries :D , make sure you know how to bleed it ok if you're doing it yourself. New (genuine) thermostat would be a good idea too if it's not been replaced already, AVA stock them too, be worth checking they're genuine, if not, the club shop sell em.

Now a qualified thermostat changer

I did exactly what Kirsty did. But one tip my drive is on a slight up slope i am convinced it made it easier to bleed the system.
And i managed it using Haydens bleeding technic single handed. Its so good with the new stat i can see the thermostatic kick in on my mason alarm up a long hill ...
