Dull clunk on way back from Bash and a rusted lump found under the front of the van swinging on one lead with a second lead hanging loose.
Could a cack-handed idiot like me find an accessible place and attach a new one or is a garage job?

Dear Bongonauts, I speak as an owner that can just about fathom out how to put diesel in my van. All I need to do now is work out hpw to pay for it. Last year I started to hear a thud when negotiating a traffic hump. It is worse when I have passengers and/or lugage. Thanks to advice on this forum, I...

Suspension?
My Bongo has just saved the day by allowing me to move my Daughter and 4-years accumulation of belongings back to Kent from her university digs in Edinburgh. I loaded one layer of boxes and noticed a “clunk” from the rear passenger-side wheel which occurred only when driving over a speed hump. By th...

Batteries
I have a Bongo converted by AVA. I know absolutely nothing about car electrics (or car anything!). The car has an electrical input under the rear bumper, a panel which I think is called a “zig” and a leisure battery which seems connected to the main battery by a hefty cable. Can someone tell me (or ...

Re: I've got the hump
That's a good point Spout. Come to think of it, it might have been doing this for some time as it is only apperent when going over road humps during the first few miles and they have only installed those wretched humps in our High Street fairly recently. I'll have it checked at next Service/MOT. Man...

I've got the hump
Look, I'm sorry. I know this has been covered before but when I search on "Suspension" I get too many results. When I search on "hump" I don't find what I am looking for but I DO get a very interesting and amusing insight into the variety of topics dealt with in the Forum! On the...

Pathetic Headlights
I am one of those pathetic individuals whose technical skills just about extend to putting air into the tyres! I have a New Shape Bongo. Up until a few weeks ago, I used Bongo for summer day-camping trips only. Pretty soon it will be my only vehicle. Credit crunch has seen off any chance of running ...

Re: Any light when fuel deposit is "nearly empty"?
It's about 10 - 15 miles of VERY careful driving and in any event yiou would not want Bongo to start drinking the gunge at the bottom of the tank!

Re: Heat warning Light
Nothing to do with "New Shape". Mine does not have this. Could this be the mod to pre-warm the engine to ease starting in the north of Japan?

Re: Fold up rear seat ,?
AVA did it for me. An excellent job with the seat mounted on the wheel arch swappable with a kitchen unit but not cheap. If there is any interest I will fish out the paperwork and advise of cost or phone Vaughan at AVA direct.

Why not meet up in the southern hemisphere.
Plenty of folk when I have visited Saturday and I am sure all the parents will be responsible ones this year.

Re: Can We come for the day?
I normally come on Saturday but it will be Sunday this year and I believe the shop closes around midday. Ian will confirm. I wonder whether any progress was made in encouraging campers to advertise their identity? I hesitate at disturbing those "at home" in the Bongo and on Sunday many wil...
