Re: Test Topic

Over on God it's horrible! some posters are asking for that thread to me merged with this one. Although this thread existed some minutes before the other one, I would like to suggest that this one (and all the up and coming 'I can't find... threads) is merged with God it's horrible! on the grounds t...

Re: RIP Prince

I got through today's papers in double quick time as I had no interest in the Queen or Victoria Wood.

However, I take my hat off to Prince for stealing the limelight in the non printed media. There's been nothing else all afternoon and evening.

The usual regular fuel price hike dates

As usual, the fuel prices went up in anticipation of Mothers' Day and all the driving around which that involves. Surprise, surprise, they've just gone up again for the Easter motoring blip in the economy. I now find that the short lived pleasure of paying less than £1 per litre, for both diesel and...

Re: Driver's side window switch

I mean, the short back edge of the complete switch housing furthest away from the door hinges. Not the long side parallel to the window. The front short side comes out last.

Re: Driver's side window switch

It releases from the back end first. If you force it at the front you will snap off the plastic lug which mates first on installation and releases last on removal. The spring is quite strong at the back and can easily fool you into thinking it can't be that end. Easiest to slide the blade of a table...

Re: HELP: Confused over best DAB bluetooth car stereo to buy

I must admit all the MP3's tracks we carry on sticks are all individually levelled using the little utility http://mp3gain.sourceforge.net/ I do that on the actual stick and keep the normal album levels on the ones at home, that way the quiet tracks are still audible in the van and the loud tracks ...

Re: Oil filter on too tight

Ive always done up filters hand tight, plus a little bit more, with a bare hand and used a rubber glove to untighten. However, I had a wake up call a couple of years ago when soon after starting a journey the oil light came on. I topped up from the on board can and before very long it came on again....

Re: HELP: Confused over best DAB bluetooth car stereo to buy

Fantastic what is available nowadays, when I think that not long ago I preferred Radio 4 long wave over FM because I liked the compression and lack of flutter. I was always gutted when the long wave outlet was turned over to cricket. One interesting snippet from this thread is the rear USB with exte...

I could tell of an episode with a blackbird followed by a redshank, thrush and whitethroat. All to do with seeking an elusive but nevertheless ...

Re: Daily Titter - content warning! PLEASE POST JOKES HERE :

I was only adding a TIC comment to the humour of the occasion and subsequently became worried when it looked like I might have killed the thread! Anyway, it is probably in the right section now where nosy children can look for it at any time of day or night! However, we could probably have left tit ...

Can this filth be moved to the 'content warning' section please?
