Re: Bongo’s in new ULEZ zone Central London
Thanks Ian, I have spent a few hours today speaking to Mazda, TFL and a few others. I have found out that there are a number of companies offering CoE testing such as this https://www.dvlaadvice.co.uk/certificate_of_emissions.htm The problem is that you have to pay in advance and there is no guarunt...

Re: Bongo’s in new ULEZ zone Central London
Hello,
Any update on this topic or is it not possible to prove bongo meets euro 4’emission standards?
It says on TFL website that I need a Homologation certificate from Mazda stating the bongo conforms.
I have no idea how to go about doing this but will keep trying.

Re: Advice on Breakdown and Cooling Issue
Thanks bob. It is. 2.5 turbo diesel. I have had a quote from 2 good bongo garages. It looks like an expensive repair. We had the conversion carried out by 321 Away. We know them and they are not too far away from us so I have asked them to repair it for us. I just need to wait for the RAC to send it...

Advice on Breakdown and Cooling Issue
Hello, I would be grateful for some advice. We were on holiday in Switzerland when the bongo overheated. The needle went straight up to hot. I cooled the enhine and put 2 litres of coolant in. It went to hot again within 10 minutes. I called the RAC and they sent a local mechanic. He put 7 litres of...

Re: Euro 6 compliant
If I have read the consultation document correctly he wants to extend the ULEZ to cover all areas within the north and south circular. That will effect My Bongo. I see nothing in the consultation about exemptions for camper vans.

Re: Euro 6 compliant
Thanks for the info. I live within the North Circular and very rarely drive into central London so hopefully I will be ok.
I should also say that I have two young children so it is good to try and make the air cleaner for them.

Euro 6 compliant
The Mayor of London wants to extend the low emissions zone to include the area that I live in. Does anybody know if it is possible to make a bongo Euro 6 compliant?

Re: Repair to damaged roof tent
Thanks for the advice. I spoke to bell hill garage but they were unable to fit us in before we left. We found another place called bongo spares near Halifax. They replaced it today for £340 (green one would have been £300) The new roof tent could do with a good clean inside. Does anybody have a reco...

Repair to damaged roof tent
Hello, We put something called a "cat flap" in our roof. It means we have had some welding done so part of the roof can stay open when the children are asleep in it. We tried it last night and it resulted in a large rip in the roof tent. As the work was carried out by a reputable company I...

Re: Urgent advice required - temp gauge very high in France
I am not sure where in the Dordogne you are but there is a campsite in Limousin (next to Dordogne) called Camping Moulin de la Geneste 00 33 (0) 5 55 98 90 08. I would recommend it anyway as it is a brilliant campsite, however, it is owned by an English couple (Steve and Sharon) and they are some of...

Re: Head Gasket???
I meant the needle does not go beyond 11 oclock. It goes to zero when engine is off. Just spent 3 days at Reading festival. No problems there and back. Hopefully all sorted.
Thanks for help and advice.

Head Gasket???
I have driven my bongo for over 3 years in the UK. It has always been really reliable. This year we took our bongo to France. Thirty mins off the ferry an alarm starts to sound and the cooler dial goes through the roof. I park up within 5 minutes but there is steam coming from all over the place and...

Re: ABS warning light/ switch on dash..
I have a similar problem with the ABS warning light. It is now staying on all the time. I have had 2 garages look at it and they are unable to turn it off.
Will it fail an MOT over this?
Thanks
