Re: Crabbing competition at Looe
Fantastic meet, once again. Thank you Ian for organising it once again. The crabbing competition was a great success, although our original venue - the retaining wall between the Millpond and river - was fenced off so we all crammed on to the jetty on the other side which possibly stymied everyone's...

Re: Bongo with 5 yr and 2 yr old boys
Space wise, and child wise, it may be worth looking around for a Bongo with split rear seats rather than the rear bench. You have the same number of seats (8 - six of which have proper seat belts, and two have lap belts), but you can remove one seat and replace it with a removable kitchen. So you ha...

Re: Looe Meeting
Sorry to hear about your bereavement, Jill.
I shall miss you at Looe - it's about the only Bongo meet we ever get to. Must try harder to get a bit further afield.

Re: Crabbing competition at Looe
I can confirm that I have now purchased the prize. All I need to do now is remember to bring it with me!!!!!
Not sure that "Crabby Alison" is quite what I want to be known as, Baz, it may be misinterpreted!

Re: top tips needed... please.
What Bob said .......a trug, some washing up liquid, some jaycloths, lots of drying up towels as your kids will drop them on the floor while they are helping you (yes, I know how old they are!). Torches and / or lanterns, and maybe a string of battery operated fairy lights when you've got time to ge...

Re: Waeco FR-35 Compressor fridge
We have a Waeco CDF 25 and have had that going for four days without troubling the battery. We didn't take a battery reading, but the low voltage jobby on the cooler didn't kick in before we went out for a drive. As far as battery guarantees are concerned, we have just bought an EXV100 Enduroline Le...

Re: Your experience bongoing with a 3-6 months baby ?
It might be worth trawling through all the photos in the Show Us Yer Insides thread to see if anything there can give you some inspiration. It's here http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=37365 There's an idea on page 4 of that thread which may fit your needs (you'll have t...

Re: Where is the horn located?
Found it, where Rita said. Need to lie on the floor and look upwards - mine's also early 1998, Mike, but it's a diesel so just have one horn, almost inaccessible to those with normal hands and fingers. Have checked fuse, have checked relay (which makes a noise) and have checked wires to a surprising...

Re: Where is the horn located?
Brilliant, thank you so much. Ironically, I rarely use it as I am one of those laid back patient folk, but I know it was working before the body shop got in there and started undoing stuff. As the Bongo returned from surgery with the washer bottle not screwed back on, and the grille not properly att...

Re: Your experience bongoing with a 3-6 months baby ?
I am quite sure that I have read about people who have filled the gap between the front of the back seat and the back of the front seat with a box, and put some sort of mattress across the gap. If your back seats can fold flat, the little one can sleep on the bit between boot lid and kitchen, and on...

Where is the horn located?
Nice simple question for everyone! The horn on the Bongo has stopped working, but as the body shop have been rummaging around under the bonnet, I suspect a wire has come off. I want to try and trace it back, but where from? I can't find anything that looks remotely like a horn under the bonnet ........

Re: leisure battery..
Thanks Mike. As I am Little Miss Cautious and Little Miss Clumsy I didn't risk your recommendation as I could just see myself losing a finger or three and my husband putting his back out trying to retrieve them. So, erring on the side of caution I got the one I mentioned. So far so good, but apart f...

Re: Sleeping up top.
Yes, you can. It's no different from before, other than the "floor" of the roof is in three pieces rather than two.

Re: leisure battery..
After almost seven years of sterling service, my trusty Elecsol battery has finally died. As is the way with all of my good buys, you can't get Elecsol batteries any more so I am starting from scratch as I would have liked to replace like for like  . If I recall correctly it was 110aH (but it ...
