Re: Diesel Cam Belt change query, do I really need to...
The key thing is you need to ensure the cam shaft and crankshaft are kept in the same position relative to each other. The easy way is to use the timing marks as it is easy to spot movement. 0

Re: Valve stem oil seals
The lumpy running on start up is likely to be a reaction to little use. When we bought our present Bongo it was very lumpy and would often cut out. We gave it the Italian tune up to beat all by motorway driving all the way from the Algarve to Scotland. Now idles like a dream on starting

Re: blue smoke on start up !
I have been told blue smoke is oil based and as reported clears as the engine warms up, white smoke is caused by water and is most likely a head problem. Constant blue smoke pretty worn engine, black smoke some form of over fuelling

Re: 2.5 litre petrol/Lpg turning over but won't start
Some rambling thoughts. Many engines lose compression,,wear, sticky rings, dirty valve seats. On solution to this can be a faster spin on the starter, which can mean the battery is either on the downward slope, or it just was not really up to it in the first place, the key is just how many cranking ...

Re: seemingly over heating bongo but COLD engine coolant. advice and help please!

The pressure bubble on opening the cap suggests some gas in the system, could be exhaust gas indicating a gasket leak, or steam. An exp...

Re: Android Stereo cutting out
Sounds like the output section of the radio cannot carry the load for the higher volume, could be a dry joint somewhere. In one of our CRVs the radio would go off with a pop at random, there was a Honda approved fix as it was a well known problem, the unofficial solution was to give the dash above t...

Wing Mirror
Left and right folding mirror mechanisms. Passenger side one has no glass and no cover the mechanism works but the cable needs reconnected, the connector is there. The drivers side has the cover but no glass. The mirror tilt and turn works but the fold does not though the motor runs set it is a gear...

Re: Leisure battery charger advise
Most systems will only give a very rough indication of capacity left especially with solar. The answer is to fit a battery meter which is fitted between your battery and the rest of your system. When set up they literally count the amps in and out and can give you a very good indication of the power...
