Re: 'pulsing' power steering
More than likely the steering joint, at the bottom of the column- needs replacing.

Re: Steering feels heavy and uneven
Yep, sounds like the u/j on the lower steering column. I had it on mine a couple years ago, should be a simple fix!

Re: High level brake light
Thanks Geoff, It seems the earth and live go back into the harness which I have traced back- so unless I strip all the interior panels off and keep following it back, I'm not sure where it is earthed. I have used a light circuit tester direct to the body work and it appears I have no power to the li...

High level brake light
Hi, My rear spoiler high level brake light isn't working. I've just checked the flexi-bit between the tailgate and body- and sure enough both wires were stripped- but not broken! I've now insulated these but still don't have power to the lamp. I've traced back the wire down the rear pillar as far as...

Re: Side door central locking
Well, I got the handle off!
Just had another look with the door card and damp shield pulled back. All rods seem to be connected, wires appear intact. All sprayed up with WD40........and its all working again!!
Now to see if it fails again over time.
Can't think what it can be?

Side door central locking
Noticed recently my sliding side door does not centrally lock occassionally. I thought it would be the contact points on the door pillar, so cleaned them up with glass paper. Today it seems to have stopped completely- so cleaned it up again- but no change! I've now taken the door card off, but can't...

Re: Exeter bongo parking
At that time of night you should get on street parking in Queen Street, just by Central train station. Or a short walk from Southernhay, again on street, or the main car park on Western Way, by the Bayleaf curry house, (recommended by the way!)

Re: wiring l.e.d.s
DRLs are not meant to give extra light, they are there to assist other drivers to see you approaching. I find they are especially useful in narrow, tree lined roads, where the shade makes it quite dark, but out of the trees it may be a lovely sunny day! (not lately though). They should be wired to c...

Re: wiring l.e.d.s
Dave, you just need to connect the red wire to your sidelight, then they will come on with the side lights. However, they will stay on with the headlights unless you fit the regulator thingy to turn them off, connected to the headlight wire. Mine came with the white wire, which basically turns them ...

Re: wiring l.e.d.s
I struggled to find something at first, but managed to tap into the live feed on the wiper motor I think. I'm sure someone here will tell me if I'm wrong, but I just stripped the wire back and taped over with electrical tape!
