Re: Wheres all the Bash photos

Agreed. We sold our Bongo about a year ago but I still like to come on the forum for a lurk. I was hoping for lots of pics and maybe even to see our old Bongo there.

New Battery for V6

As the summer has cooled off and autumn approaches, I've noticed a real drop off in battery performance. The Bongo only usually gets driven on a weekend and it sits all week in the garage. It's gotten so I've had to cross my fingers and invoke the gods of electrickery before turning the key. Anyway,...

Yep, seconded. We really enjoyed the Ironbridge trip too. Had some 'Victorian' bread with breakfast today, surprisingly delicious :D

Re: thanks for all the jump lead offers

I have so little trust in the Zig unit to manage the main and leisure batteries (and ourselves in hitting the right switches) that I disconnect the main battery on arrival to guarantee a good strong start when required. Especially after a few days 'off the grid'. Glad you got going okay.

Re: We are booked for the 2011 Bash!

Yeah, we've booked too. First time for us and doing Friday and Saturday night. Booked for Ironbridge as well as never been to the museum before.

Non-electric pitch so apologies in advance if the generator sees some action (during designated hours only of course :) )

Re: Ferry booking to France, is a Bongo a car?

Treated ours like a car and no one looked twice. I was worried because with the back box on too, it's a reasonably long outfit but again, no problems. Leave the higher fees to the coachbuilt brigade!

Re: Corner marker bulb

What sort of bulb is it..? Is it a T10 cap less type? Cheers for the suggestions, you get what you deserve I think :D . The nail lacquer is not a bad plan, I'll have a rummage through Mrs Philo's drawers (ooer madam...) The bulb is one of those tiny all glass blade type things that just pushes into...

Corner marker bulb

Not the teasing question of the decade but suggestions required anyway! The bulb blew the other day so I replaced it with a new one from Halfrauds (2.3watt). However, the old bulb had a green plastic cover on it that was impossible to get off without destroying. The question is, how do I get the gre...

Re: Tackeroo 2 - Cannock Chase - DAY MEET on Sunday April 18th .

Hey We haven't had any toilet jokes yet, did we all manage? Tackeroo 3 anyone? PS Well done to Philo and family for making it, hope the P&Q of the chase was restorative :D Very pleasant thanks Graham. Funnily enough, when almost everyone had gone, we were having a drink and Regor was having a b...

Safe to say that the surrounding woodland is going to be better fertilized by Sunday evening!

We've got a kids birthday party to go to around lunchtime so expect to put in an appearance mid afternoon. Weather is terrific today so let's hope it lasts.

Re: Bakewell October 16th - 18th

Great pics Muz and Manda (as usual!). We would have loved to have come to this one but the new addition to the family (Harry) was born last week so given the unpredictability of mother nature's timing, September and October trips were never on the cards. Weather and the site looked great for you too.

Re: RX8 Load rating 92 XL or 96

225/40x18 are too small anyway - 225/45x18 or 2i5/50x18 are better, but you'll still have a problem finding any with the correct load index (at a reasonable price anyway). What about 245/45x18 for size? Am I right in saying a minimum 97 rating would be safe for load? What you say about prices is ri...
