Re: Ikea LED lighting blowing...
Are you running them using a constant currant supply? Many high power LEDs these days will need a device to run the LEDs at a constant current (I think it's called a buck). Check the original 240v power supply - it should specify if it's constant currant (probably 350ma). e-bay is a good source of D...

Re: Alternative Cat Flap. ACF
The time has come for me to undertake the inner roof reversal, but I've hit the first hurdle (one that doesn't seem to have been reported yet). The cable for the light runs from the metal roof to a plug/socket. This from the socket, it runs through the inner roof hinge (a u section with insufficient...

Re: cost for rear wheel arch replacement
Very tidy. It looks like you have the same issue as I faced with the rear of the arch not meeting the bumper line neatly. I solved this by 3D scanning the rear arch area, designing a blended in piece, which I then 3D printed and colour matched. Perhaps I need to start offering these!

Celtic motorhomes (Ed), or Clearcut (Rich). Both have good reputations.

That's well worth noting. More difficult to clean though ![Laughing ](./images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)

Re: Alloy wheel load rating?
Thanks for the advice again. It's around £100 more for new than used, which is probably worth it.

Re: Alloy wheel load rating?
considering other options, I am wondering if running 16 inch wheels with 215/65 tyres would be okay? It would make the wheels a larger diameter and therefore the speedo slightly out, but it's there a safety or technical reason why this would be a bad idea? I ask since it seems 65 profile tyres seem ...

Re: Alloy wheel load rating?
Thanks for the advice. It seems like they may be an option then. Ideally, buying new would be best, but prices are pretty high (although what price can you put on safety I suppose).

Alloy wheel load rating?
I'm looking at a set of 17" alloy wheels, but they're after market ones, which I'm more wary of. They have marking on the inside, but it's not clear if any of these indicate the load rating. The image can be seen at https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4dp11j0EnwFaEs4SHRHV0RNN3c/edit?usp=sharing T...

Re: Quechua Base as an Awning?
We manage to store our base seconds in the roof with a thin mattress and the hatch open (matress folded in front of the hatch, quechqua part over the hatch with the hatch door open). We close the roof slowly and check that it's not putting excess pressure on one area. The odd shape is a down side to...

Re: Internal surfboard holder
I've not had any experience with this, but I'd guess that using the attachment points for the overhead handles in the rear would give you good attachment points to use of you plan to design your own. They're used for things like top lockers.

I imagine that you'd need to sand and de grease them, then prime them with plastic primer, before applying the paint and lacquer.

Re: Rear nearside speaker not working......
Probably stating the insulting obvious, but I presume both speakers work in the front and fade hasn't just been set to one side only? Other than checking that and any obvious loose wires in the adapter loom, my advice runs out ![Embarassed ](./images/smilies/icon_redface.gif)
