Re: Engine and coolant hot, fans ignoring it

Yes its in the manual, which is at home, where I won't be for a while longer! It might be here on the forum but a search for "thermistor resistance" didn't come up with the actual resistance range as such. Ah ha found it viewtopic.php?p=613280#p613280

Re: Battery accident

But the terminal sizes are normally different ? The +ve is normally smaller so that the negative wouldn't clamp on and you always put the negative on last so that it can't be mistaken as well ? I guess for the problem you report to happen you must also be a dual battery Northern Japan cold start set...

Re: Coolant leak right side (from front)

Have you checked the top of the radiator, the plastic to metal joint is often a source for radiator failure and there isn't much other pipework that can cause coolant to fall on top of the crossmember itself and the areas either side.

Re: New AC condenser

Isn't the pipework on later versions smaller, as the volume of refrigerant is reduced because of this, so I would guess that the connectors aren't the same size, but I don't have any specific experience in this.

Probably replace with some car door protector strips, cut "V"'s out to make the curve or just a couple at right angles perhaps ?

Re: Fitting a wireless reversing camera - advice please :)

Best place to access the reversing light wiring is the offside rear cluster. Mounting cameras I always choose high up looking down so that you get a "plan" view which is much easier to interpret, if you mount low around the number plate area then you have a problem identifying distance to object! Get yourselves a 2m Telescopic ladder like these on Amazon saves a lot of grief and small enough to tuck away in the van itself. https://www.amazon.co.uk/s?k=2m+telescopic+ladder&crid=1OVLFTZVXU1&sprefix=2m+tlescopic+ladder%2Caps%2C127&ref=nb_sb_ss_sc_1_19 http://www.g8dhe.net/bongo_images/roof_bars...

Could be several reasons but distributor arm, cap, leads and also fuel and air filters can also be the cause.

Re: Different voltages when batteries connected

In that case check all the cable terminations and mating surfaces as unless you were very heavily charging the LB the voltage should be within 0.1 volts or so merely voltage drop along the cable basically, so with little current flowing they would be identical, and don't forget the earth/chassis con...

Re: Different voltages when batteries connected

Several things here, yes the voltage across the two batteries when the SC relay is operated i.e. charging should be very close. Given the difference I would suggest that the two batteries are not yet connected! Check the the fuses with a meter, make sure the contacts are clean, after that suspect th...
