Just to say "Thank You" to Martyn for the seats and the other goodies.

I hope your move goes well!

Re: Power steering Top pinion oil seal... at last

I've done this job twice on 2 Bongos, most recently with Mikes seal which worked just fine. My advice. Mark how the steering lines up to make refitting easier when refitting the joint to the pinion. I found the universal circlip pliers useless, proper internal circlip pliers are required. I used a c...

Re: Reversing seats to make bed with front seats

If you are looking for somewhere closer to home in the future a company in Motherwell/Mossend are breaking lots of bongos at the moment. Good Luck. Thanks, it gave us an excuse to get to Yorkshire, plus I'm having issues with my AFT, so I thought some expert advice would be useful, also another clu...

Reversing seats to make bed with front seats

Hi, after buying a Bongo with a middle conversion, and having a few trips away, we have decided to go for a rear side kitchen, similar to the factory kitchen. We plan to visit Bongospares in a couple of weeks to pick up middle seat and rails. We would then like to end up with a rear facing middle se...

Re: Waeco MS 50 Cruise Control - Fitting

What about when you want to raise the seats to check levels or do service work, the cable from the control is very thin, and would be easily damaged.

help required with solenoids

Hi, I have just replaced my diesel cylinder head, but forgot to take photos of the solenoid pipework.
I'm sure I have seen a superb post on here, but can't find it! (It might have been Northern Bongolow?)

Can someone please point me towards photos of this area?

Thanks!

Re: AFT temporary repair?

Hi, new to the site and proud owners of our first ever Bongo. The garage we purchased it from left the roof elevated overnight and there was a heavy snowfall. The roof subsequently bent and cracked the edges. Is it possible to repair in the shorterm in a Frankenstein manner as we are looking to go ...

No, nothing extra needed, all diesel cars that I know of have a pump for the brake booster, Simon's excellent guide shows where to get a 'vacuum' from the existing pipework on the Bongo.

Re: Wing Mirror

Hi, sorry to hear about your contretemps! I managed exactly the same damage when my new canoe slid off the roof bars and chopped off the drivers door mirror 50 motorway miles from home. I 'liberated' some repair washers from the 'might be useful one day' bag I carry with me, and with some bending to...
