Battery Model

Hi Folks,

Question - what model should the battery in the 1997 Mazda Bongo be?

The battery in mine was replaced by the AA at the roadside the other year, and it has a part number of 005 on it - that's about it!

It has been stood up a while over winter and the battery hasn't survived and won't ...

Roof not lowering

Hi all,

My roof was stuck half way which we traced to a stuck motor and fixed. It was raising and lowering OK, we regreased it, but noticed it didn't go all the way up and the beeping didn't stop. I gave the roof a push as it raised and this time it went taut and beeping stopped.

However when we ...

Sliding door stuck - relays?

Hi,

My sliding door is jammed shut. I've read the fact sheet but still can't get it open. Looking at the fuse box, I am surprised that it's a fuse and not a relay for this.

Can I confirm there is definitely no relays involved in the soft close mechanism?

Thanks

Hi,

I limped home the other day went the heater was cold and the temperature through the roof. I had coolant system leaks over the summer so recognised it instantly and after My dad and I performed a pressure test we've traced it to a long u shaped pipe half way down the engine under the drivers ...

are you saying you paid £700 for a new water pump fitted, top hose and change cam belt.?? If this is the case you have been robbed. I would not go back to that garage.

In truth that's slightly misleading as I told them to also do a full service, which looking at the ticket 100 quid of was ...

As he was doing the water pump I got them to replace the cam belt at the same time for good measure.

Van is back. Apparently it passed the sniffer test, they've replaced the radiator top hose which sprang a leak, and then the turbo coolant hose which had gone.

So far looks okay.... lost ...

Coolant system's blown - again!

Hi,

You may recall I posted on the the mud claws thread that the coolant hose blew 5 minutes into my Isle of Wight holiday the other week, taking the water pump with it.

£700 quid later, I heard a hissing sound yesterday and fearful of snakes I took it straight back to the garage that did the ...

Thanks,

I stopped off at Halfords on the way home last night and picked up a standard 12v electric horn. I'll fit it Sunday.

Was very tempted by the Big Twin Two Tone version they did but wasn't sure how much space was provided underneath for mounting so chickened out.

Now does anyone know where ...

Horn replacement - Help

Ok, I have a problem.

My horn unit is bust and my MOT is coming up fast. I posted on here before for advice and have tried to obtain a replacement part from the suppliers but so far I’ve come up with a blank.

Someone mentioned there was a Fiamma horn that may work. Could anyone fill me in on the ...
