Re: Return of the Knit & Natter Group & Crafts!!

Hi Trish (aka MT Tank) Emma will want to get in the Knit & Natter, but probably the Saturday one as we'll be arriving later on Friday. We would like a table for a stall at the Vicars Tea Party, so if you could be so kind . . . . [-o< Looking forward to re-meeting the guys, and our littl'uns (Imo...

Re: 17" wheels What tyre sizes?

We have a set of 17" five-spokes that look beautiful :D We fitted 235 55 17 tyres, for several reasons: a) they seem to be readily available & hence cost-effective on the new and part-worn markets b) they raise the gearing slightly (2-3%) which makes the mileometer and speedometer more accu...

Re: Fitting Mazda 6 alloys 17" do they fit?

Hi there. We have five-spoke plain-spoke alloys that were stated to be from a Mazda 3 - see this link http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/0129-x4-Like4Like-Exchange-Refurbished-Mazda-3-17-Alloy-Wheels-/320833474239?pt=UK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Trims_Car_Rims_ET&hash=item4ab32a4ebf They also do a Mazda ...

Re: Parking / Proximity Sensor system

Yep, you're right. This link shows the parts in the standard Mazda system: http://www.lushprojects.com/bongopartsmk2/code=6630A&cat=a2ajra0a&vin=&imgno=02of03.html That means that our system must be a Japanese aftermarket kit - which will be even more difficult to find spares for :( Oh w...

Re: Parking / Proximity Sensor system

Hi Haydn
Interesting, but your Bongo looks like a later model (ours is 1997/ R-reg).
Your system sounds much more comprehensive, too!

Only the two sensors in total.
Any others?

Parking / Proximity Sensor system

Hi all Our Bongo has two corner sensors, feeding an illustrated & illuminated switch on the dash, used for parking, etc. They are rectangular, about 30mm x 15mm, with a recessed circular diaphragm in the centre (no smut here, please [-X ). When it arrived in the UK it worked brilliantly :D sound...

Re: Bongo Summer Camp: Hayling Island 16 to 20 July

Hi Guys Just got back from the Summer Camp at Hayling Island - wow, what a great time :D The site is in a great spot - yes, the creek is just behind the Bongos in some of the pix already posted. Nearby shops friendly, the chippie on the East end of the front served enormous & tasty portions, and...

Re: 10th&11th July weekend Oxfordshire- Please Join us

Hello to Anna, and to Brian & Mary. So sorry not to have made it to the most local Bongo Do ever. We are going to plead just too busy with the littl'uns :) - and other events. Also, shame about Bongy - hope the Dr says it is not too big an operation - and hence not too expensive [-o< We had a gr...

Re: Bongo Summer Camp: Hayling Island 16 to 20 July

Hi, Confused (.com?) Been wondering the same thing :? - is it because all who can stay have already booked & paid, so no need to get more enthusiastic :?: If so, what about the hordes of Day Trippin' Bongonauts we are expecting? We will be havin' a larf & a good time, so see you all there =D...

Re: Bongo Summer Camp: Hayling Island 16 to 20 July

Yo, Jo :) We met at both the '08 Bash & in Looe, so right both times =D> Hope you are well, and treating life in a suitably cavalier fashion  Yes, we have increased our number by adding Laura, now 10 weeks old, & very much like her sister. Both enjoyed this year's Bahs, & we'll all ...

Re: Overheating

Hi and welcome, Justine.

I am the Windswept referred to by Brian. I have also sent you a PM.
We Bonkers Bongo types are a bit thin around here, so it would be good to chat.

Hope you manage to get the overheating sorted - Discount Trucks have a very good reputation.

Cheers,
Paul

Re: Child car seats and Bongos

Hi Simon. Regarding sleeping babes: We use an inflatable double mattress laid onto the full set of folding seats to level and give us a comfy night. We slide it as far forward as possible, which leaves a 15" slot at the rear (where the tops of the rear seat-backs lie) across the full width of t...

Re: Sheared glowplug

Hi Al & Chris. Good to hear the plug is out. Have a look at this link http://www.lushprojects.com/bongopartsmk2/indexA2AJRA0Atr.html#6 , which gives schematic drawings of the various units around the engine (petrol &/or diesel) :) Then once you have identified the damaged part, copy the link...
