Re: SOLAR POWERED BATTERY CHARGER
I thought BDC might want to use it for the main battery, Mr W. See his comment about using it to keep the battery topped up as it depletes its charge with alarm/immobiliser armed . I used to find with my previous van that if it was left a couple of weeks the battery would be flat and the alarm was t...

Re: SOLAR POWERED BATTERY CHARGER
correct me if I'm wrong (or preferably confirm that I am correct) - I would assume that if the cigarette lighters are rewired to work off the leisure battery when switched on the charger would charge the leisure battery. What would be needed is a rewire to work off the main battery but bypassing the...

Re: grating sound
sorry, guys, I already investigated this myself and saved it up from last week for today
It was a lucozade bottle on the shelf in the fridge - it gave me quite a scare at first
thanks for putting your brains to work for me
Happy first of April

grating sound
does anyone have any idea about the grating sound I hear from behind the driver's seat when I brake (sometimes also when I accelerate but mostly under hard braking)?

sorry, Mr tard, I live on the right side of the border but my kit is usually good only for my primary transport, and that has far fewer wheels than my Bongo(about two thirds less if you count the spare and the one that tells the vehicle which direction to go!!). The bongo goes to my friendly local m...

The only time i use my fog lamps is to remind other drivers that they have theres on during mild weather conditions me too, Mr H. The usual reaction is that they just wave back  fog lamps are really no use unless it is so foggy you can only travel at less than 35MPH - any faster and you shoul...

I also use an MP3 player but have had no problem with distortion. Often it depends on the bitrate your MP3 files have been encoded to. 320kb/s is very good but go much below 200 and you are already losing quality. Get down to 100kb/s and it does not matter one single bit how good your speakers are y...

Interior light
I must admit to being lazy asking rather than tinkering  but here goes anyway My main interior light is slow to come on and dim when it does - is that normal, have I a weak battery or a worn out tube? I'll do something about it at the weekend but any clues would be welcome if they would save m...

The Bongo turbo diesel engine should have the oil and filter replaced every 3000 miles according to Mazda. It's up to you whether you want to extend that period. Short though this interval is I would expect it will pay you back to be able to demonstrate that you have serviced according to Mazda spe...
