Re: Mazda Bongo Friendee Handbook 1995-2000

On it's way to Hastings via Ashford. 11 years ago I met a member in Sainsburys car park near Allans Vehicles, Plymstock to be given a full size spare wheel to replace the space saver ready for the first trip to Morocco. Finally paid back the forum.

Mazda Bongo Friendee Handbook 1995-2000

10 years help from the forum for my lovely now, maybe, dead V6. Thanks to Bongofury! In those early days you were a Godsend. Now is payback time. 12 months on with my Toyota Jap import Ambulance I've just found the old Bongo handbook. Will post for free to first pm that I get. Only stipulation is th...

Also how did you get to first Scandnavian country? Ferry from where to where? Or can you drive Estonia, Russia to Finland?

Any pictures? Cheers

Re: Split charging

Brilliant. Don't need LB fitted for a few months but need to plan shape of conversion. Rather than cramp up engine bay ideal position for leisure battery would be in it's own little cupboard under one of the beds (yet to be made). This would place it 3 metres from starter batteries. Would that dista...

Re: Split charging

Thanks Geoff,
From that I can see the identical batteries are in parallel to increase capacity. That is one battery connected to the other by + to + and - to -.

Can I now add a split charge and leisure battery to one of these batteries?

Re: Split charging

A question for G8dhe. I still have my Bongo Numax Leisure Battery. I am in process of converting my Toyota 3.4L Ambulance. It has a twin battery set up, which I believe is for 24V starting (Landcruiser Engine). Want electrics only for lights, stereo and charging when ignition off. Do I use one of th...

Re: It’s taken 10 years but....

It's an incredible amount of miles. 250,000 clocked minus the 50,000 when bought is a family 200,000 miles over 10 years. 20,000 a year average.
Ours starting at 40,000 did 80,000 over 10 years a mere 8,000 miles.

Re: Thanks for 10 years of Support

It's tears. Bongy wants to stay with you. 8) Even started crying through the skylight. Gave the V6 it's farewell voyage at the weekend. Kept quiet that it was a one way journey as we headed to Wheelquick at Wigan. After reading on here about the emissions charges in London we decided to head up the...

Good test, Geoff. Out of interest what was your average motorway speed? The test gives a good mpg for the V6.

Re: Petrol v Diesel

It is an interesting read. Apart from pointless scrapping of old cars it could also be seen as a tax on the poor. Not us Bongo owners rich in our lifestyle, of course. It also takes no account of LPG cars as no proof petrol or diesel would not be used.... Looking forward to picking up the Toyota 3.4...

Re: Thanks for 10 years of Support

Making it very difficult for us to go our seperate ways. Today, a day after being on the MOT ramps, decided to spring a leak. We may have to give in and give the V6 a sitting tenancy to our drive. :D Any ideas? It's dripping mid way up the engine block at the rear, just drivers side of middle, and j...
