Re: Wiring remote central locking!
I don't know what signals you are on about.
The 2 wire solenoid mechanically locks the drivers door and this action locks all the others the same as if you had locked it with the key.

Re: All I DON'T want fo Xmas is an Aldi Radio Grrr V6
I have posted previously how it is quite easy to wire up a couple of relays and a switch so that during normal driving the radio will take its feeds from the main battery, hence switching off when you turn the ignition off, then when you are parked up you flick a switch and the relays switch the fee...

Re: Flashing Dummy Alarm LED.
I used to wire these up all the time. All you need to do is wire the positive side of the LED to a permanent live feed and the negative side to an ignition feed. With the ignition switched on the voltage willl be the same both side of the diode so no current will flow hence it will not flash. When y...

Re: airbag problem
Isn't this light a warning light there to warn you that there is a problem with the SRS system. Therefore isn't simply disconnecting the light a bit of a Homer Simpson thing to do as the fault will still be there and could cause the system to fail to deploy if you were in an accident or even to depl...

Re: wiring and sockets for head unit
That connector is a radio co ax connector. If you have two of these one will probably be for a GPS aerial for the sat nav and the other for the radio. In my experience a GPS one will normally be a small SMA screw on connector but who knows with the Japanese? PS Get rid of those nasty scotch locks an...

Re: How do i wire up extra lives
Don't forget that if you connect anything to that side of the fuse box (i e the input side) it will not be fused so you will need to fit an inline fuse. Apologies if this duplicates what any one else has said but you can't be too careful. The fuse needs to be as close to the source as possible.

Re: Selca IM3.22 Immobiliser
You can only reprogram these if you have the Red master key that came with the immobiliser and need to make sure the keys you have got are for the correct immobiliser model. Then you need to check that the connetion to the door switch has been made as you cannot program the unit unless there is an e...

Re: Central locking not working after waxoyl any ideas?
My guess would be that they've either put so much waxoyl in the driver's door that its clogged up the actuator or that they have used the grommet where the wires go into the door to get the waxoyl in and damaged the already brittle wiring in there.
You definitely need to be looking at the drivers door

Re: how long battery life?
For lighting most DIY shops sell battery powered LED lights and the batteries in them last for ages. I've got three in my camper and they are just the job  This sort of thing: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Osram-Dot-it-Shock-Waterproof-3-LED-push-light-battery_W0QQitemZ160365475537QQcmdZViewItemQQptZU...

Re: Swap radio between batteries
I've wired my radio via a couple of 5 pin relays and a switch so that when on site it works with the leisure battery and when driving works with the starter battery and switches off with the ignition.

Re: Replacing SRS steering wheel.
Be careful as the airbag will still have a charge from a capacitor in it for a while after the battery has been disconnected. This is in order to allow the airbag to deploy in an accident if the battery has been destroyed by the impact. I would imagine that this charge only lasts for a few minutes b...
