10w/30 Will do it, 5w/30 If it’s chilly where you live.

6 1/2 Ltrs with filter change, 6 ltrs without.

Fact Sheet in Member's Area if you need more info. :)

Re: Transmission problem

Hi, I'm no expert, but I can’t see 'nipping up the drive belts' helping.

ADS, Ashton, are pretty good with Bongos, but an auto box specialist should be able to help. 8)

Re: Loud knocking noise

Agree with Geoff.

As for which tyres, depends on how you use Bongy.

Frequent long motorway trips, buy premium. Short local hops, cheaper ones will do. All seasons if you live up north and need to get to work in winter. 8)

Re: Loud knocking noise

Original tyre sizes are 195/70/15 front, 215/65/15 rear.

This gives the same rolling circumference.

Many people fit 215s all round, which is fine.

If yours are different to this you can check the circumference with an on line 'tyre size calculator'.

This is really important on a 4wd. 8)

Re: Fix or scrap?

Sadly impossible to say. You would need to get prices for fixing it, but that’s not always possible without starting to strip off panels, and you would need to ask breakers what the value would be to them. This will likely vary depending on whether you drop off or they collect. Then it’s how much do...

Re: Wheel sizes

Tyre size calculator might be useful:

https://www.willtheyfit.com/

Plenty of others will show with a search.

Main thing is, I guess you’re looking at alloys, are they up to the weight of a Bongo?

Many alloys are only suitable for use on a much lighter vehicle.

Re: Low fuel warning light, if fitted, where is it

Been there, very worrying indeed.

Since then I tend to fill up when the gauge gets near the 1/4.

Been grateful when there’s supply problems, too.
