Re: Horn, radio and blinds stopped working

Yes indeedee

They all worked...

I'm probably most mystified by the vehicle horn not working now ... the local garage have just checked and the horn relay is OK...

The only links seems to be the central locking being worked on ? (+ some engine work )

A Bongo mystery LOL

🤷‍♂️

Horn, radio and blinds stopped working

Hello clever people

I've had my central locking fixed 🍻 ...

However, all at the same time, the radio, horn and electric blinds have decided to stop working now. I didn't notice for a couple of hours after collecting it.

The fuses are fine... although none are labelled horn/radio/blinds on the ...

V6 Cylinder Head needed.

Hi all,

Following a dreaded cambelt break, I am in need of technical advice please, regarding the right side cylinder head.

The valves have suffered from meeting the piston crowns.
The three cylinders on the right side all have reduced compression testing figures. ( The left side three cylinders ...

Re: V6 lost power and cut out under acceleration

Right well got mine back this morning and all seems fine, just a totally flat leisure battery as I forgot to turn off the fridge when I was towed (slowly) to my garage and its been under the garage roof all Xmas so not even the solar panels to keep the charge up :-( Will need a good 24 hours to ...

Re: V6 lost power and cut out under acceleration

It only started flashing when the engine cut, and carried on until my Bongo came to a halt...

Never seen a HOLD light flashing in a Bongo in 20 years ...

I was kind of curious , maybe it was flashing a warning code direct to my bank account LOL

Thanks

Ian

Re: V6 lost power and cut out under acceleration

Thankyou

That gives me hope...

When the engine lost all power, it was a fairly undramatic event in terms of noise... I was going up through the gears manually, so revs were higher than when I normally drive about like an old granny, trying to save fuel and help the engine last as long as ...

Re: V6 lost power and cut out under acceleration

Nice one Thankyou

It wasnt toooo long ago I had all those parts changed , not long after I bought it , and as you recommend, I changed every single part that saved another dismantling session in the future .. It is a long list for sure.. Mind you, thinking about it, that was 4 plus years ago ... I ...

V6 lost power and cut out under acceleration

Any experience of this guys ?

Accelerating away from roundabout, going up through the gears manually with no hint of nightmare to come .

Around 59 mph, Engine cut out, loss of power totally.

Roll to halt on side of road...
AA arrive , cambelts OK.. but he said sounds like no compression/ low ...

Re: Quiet exhaust for V6

I'm actually after recommendations for an exhaust that is known to be on the quieter side of the noise spectrum LOL

I have just bought a new exhaust and had it fitted ... hence my post above

Thankyou

Quiet exhaust for V6

Hi all

I'm after a quiet exhaust for my V6 Bongo 2001.

I must have had an original exhaust when I bought my V6.

I had to get a new back box and centre section. However it does roar ..

Previously with the old system, it used to be so quiet it actually felt like you were in an electric train ...

Re: 2.0i litre petrol 1999 Camshaft position sensor 12v.

Hi, I have had my Bongo for 13 years and know it fairly well. It still runs smooth and well. But last 12 months it does classic crankshaft position sensor problems symptoms and rpm runs up and down quickly, tries to stall, sometimes does but always starts again fine. So it is intermittent and more ...
