The zirconia sensors should all have the same characteristics, its possible that you just got a duff one or maybe there was something wrong with the connection, the two-wire sensor earths through the exhaust. I love them!! more so on a vw t4 especially if you bonnet looks like mine, my bonnet straps may cause a prob tho bonnet catch dont work since the wife drove the van through my garage.

I did mine with that leatherette paint, looks ok and gets rid of that dirty look that you forever try scrub out i even did the bottom light grey bit on the dash because it looked rank, i will get around to recovering them with new material because it will be cheaper than the paint with a better fini...

Fans come on if you disconnect the sender unit so i suppose that denotes the sender is goosed?

Guys i gotta an issue my fans are not cutting in What controlls them is it the engine temp sender?? Thanks for the replies the belts were taken off and the distributor considered to be the culprit. So I think it is an ebay investment time. if it is any concilation my replacement dizzy that i changed because of the bearing is also now beginning to show bearing noises, must be something in the air ...

i replaced my cam belt prob near 2 year ago now and not the cam seals and he is still ok
