Re: Bongo friendly garage in Glasgow
Stevie, I'm under the impression that the Mazda garage will be expensive, and not that keen to work on converted Bongo campervans. What do you think? Someone in another forum recommended an independent garage, McGarry Hogg, at Anniesland Business Park. I rang McGarry Hogg on Monday morning when I w...

Re: Any campsite recommendation for Aviemore area?
I love the site at Loch Morlich too. The location on the loch shore is ideal and the scenery breathtaking. Great for cycling in forest ( hire at the site) . Cycle path goes to Aviemore too. ( Forest holidays/ Camping&Caravan Club) Have also camped at dalraddy south of aviemore on the B9152 ( not...

Re: Water leak 1996 diesel
Update....RAC have diagnosed the problem as a cracked stat housing by pressurising the system. Bongo is currently at a Bosch garage in pollokshaws Glasgow while they 'look into it!'. Rang a Masda dealer and new part is probably on back order from Japan. Anyone breaking a bongo and can supply me with...

It lost about 2litres in 24hrs when standing cold. But I think it will be more rapid when pressurised.widdowson2008 wrote:You didn't mention how much coolant you were losing. Is it a lot? or just a dribble.
How much do you need to top up and how often?

Re: Water leak 1996 diesel
the 2 bolts are screwed into the top most face from below, these threads have been known to strip out as getting the bolts in straight can be a challenge sometimes. you can drill the upper thread out and fit longer bolts then fit a nut to them to pull the 2 halves together. if the housing is cracke...

Water leak 1996 diesel
Hi , I am visiting family in Glasgow and I have a water leak from the cooling system. The leak appears to be originating from the interface between the thermostat case and the thermostat cover. Does anyone have any experience of this type of leak? Should I try just tightening the bolts, or could the...

Re: Our New BONGO...Teething or major problems...HELP
Hi Ian & Kate Re tyre and wheel sizes ive still got different sizes front to rear on my 4wd but bought the van with good snow tyres fitted so I am thinking of keeping them as 'winter wheels' and getting another set of wheels (possibly alloys) fitted with 'bog standard' tyres for summer use. The...
