All resolved, engine OK, it was the filter. The filter was very differnt to the one that was fitted, don't know if that was the issue.
Im happy !

Spent the weekend on it. The Leak is CERTAINLY from around the filter. I only threw the chain around the filter and it came undone, my diagnosis so far is the garage didnt tighten the filter properly back in May when it was changed. There were no marks at all on the can so I think it was hand tighte...

Easy to spot ?

Anything else spring to mind as a cause that I shl look for ?

bongos been sat for a couple of weeks, just staerted her up this morning, after about twenty seconds it dumped all the oil out onto the floor. There was a gurgling noise while it happens. Looks like it's leaked out from somewhere near, or from the oil filter. Have I been lucky and filter seal has go...

Maybe panicking unnecessarily here but were booked on Sunday to the Isle of Man on the high speed ferry.. I've booked a "High Car" for the Bongo.. if that right or should it be camper van ? that was the only two classes that sounded right.

thanks for the advice chaps, called Sovos and they are happy that you can connect 12v straight to the unit.. I'm suspecting the cig lighter plug I used was from a mobile phone or something and isnt rated for 4amps that the TV draws ?

is it fairly new ? I got longer screws from Haydn when I had some issues like yours, that sorted it.
