Thanks Ian. Just to let people know, I've recently taken on a very experienced Bodyman/painter to increase capacity but still keep the high standards. Nothing I hate more than having people waiting. 🚐

If you're not prepared to, or able to cut out the rot and weld in new steel I would advise using a chopped strand glass fibre paste as it is non porous

You will have a lip, but the plastic wheelarch liner will be touching it. You'll have to push it back to reveal the lip.

Inner wheelarches are in two pieces and are available from Mazda dealers at around £120 per side

The rear and side skirts from a later aero will fit but not the front. I am currently working on reproducing the aero kit plus a skirt for the earlier model.

In my opinion the best way forward would be to cut out all corrosion,inspect the inner stucture and weld in new sections cut from a scrap shell and repaint as required.
