access panel
Hello, Does anybody have a picture or measueremnts to indicate where the access panel is located on the rear floor of the Bongo. I don't mean the one on the back of the centre console. I think there is one on the floor behind the driver seat somewhere. I will need to either cut a hole in my conversi...

Re: V6 overheating
My TM2 sensor is surface mounted, on a bolt close to the top hose(s) outlet spigot, close to the Mazda temp gauge sensor. During normal running with airflow, as opposed to when bleeding with no airflow, it gives readings, ranging from about 78C to 83C, the latter either when stuck in traffic with l...

Re: V6 overheating
My actual coolant temp (sensor inside the top hose where it exits the cylinder head) tops out at about 78C and during "normal" running averages about 66C. My cooling system is in "as new" condition, having had chemical flush x 2, New coolant x 2 and a new rad and stat. The only ...

Re: V6 overheating
Hi, I've had two near overheating episodes (98 V6 123000KM), but was saved by gadgets both times. 1. Stuck thermostat - this also brought to light a problem with the rad fans never switching in, I fitted an iAlert, and later a relay was fitted at Wheelquick to switch the fans in automatically from t...

Re: north west body shop recommendations?
Yes I agree.
They just did my rear wheel arches and a small rust patch behind one of the rear light clusters.
Great job and great price.
Highly recommend them.

Re: Small coolant loss, is this normal?
Hi, I had the same issue for 2 years, spent time looking for the leak used UV dye, checked all round when hot etc. found nothing. I needed to add 100ml about every 3 months. Eventually felt a very slight dampness on the underside of a jubilee clip on a hose leading from the rad, where it joined the ...

Re: Air Conditioning - not much heat from it
I would get this check at a garage. Problems with heating can mean problem with water/coolant circulation, which can lead to overheating. I had to scrap an old car this year... it all started with the heater blowing cold air and ended with a blown head gasket. (It wasn't a Bongo and not worth paying...

Re: pms 3v
There is a small relay under my bonnet connected to the PMS, but I think it is for switching between LB power supply and car battery power supply. Annoying that this system doesn't charge when driving as I was expecting, after a couple of dark nights I realised I needed the Willington kit.

Re: pms 3v
Just to confirm, I have an Elite conversion and I had to fit my own Willington relay to get the LB to charge from the alternator. Without adding the extra relay, the LB only charges when hooked up.

Re: Wheel arch welding
Tommy,
How did you get on with this. I'm about to order my new wheel arches and will be looking for a good bodyshop soon.
Thanks,
Matt

Re: V6 Getting Hot
Not sure why it hot, sorry. Just trying to help identify the black box. If it is oily, black with dirt or the zigzagged surface is mishapen it needs changing to help with economy and help the engine run properely. I change my more often than recommended as they are quite cheap and easy to fit. Hope ...
