Re: Attaching canopies/awnings
Here is my home-made canopy, tried and tested for several years now. I bought a canopy from Decathlon and a length of Kador stip from Ebay, the sort already stitched on awnings. I sewed it to the canopy, and it is attached using a figure of eight to the Bongo. It can flap a bit, but never has never ...

Re: Screen suckers are rubbish
We stock all the screens. All the side windows. Internal only I'm afraid, but VERY thick for all year camping. And if they don't stick to your windows, we will offer a full refund! (Unless you have tinted film on your windows in which case they won't stick at all). I bought a set of screens from th...

Re: largest possible awning
I've got a Motordome Sleeper Quick Erect awning, the older blue one with the steel poles that are attached, you pop it up like a big umbrella. Inside is big, especially if you include the tunnel that attaches to the van. We can fit in a table and chairs, cooker and stand, cupboards and chairs. If th...

Re: largest possible awning
Have you considered a Khyam?
The Motordome Sleeper is certainly spacious, looking on the web is appears bigger than the ones you are looking at, and ours has stood up to some good storms.

Re: Top 5 must haves for bomgo camping?
I was very resourceful a few weeks ago and liberated several sachets of a variety of sauces from the pub which I promptly forgot about until a sachet of mayonnaise burst in my bag a few days later  The one thing that I try to remember is cooking oil (the spray ones are good) otherwise cleaning...

Re: Temperature guage not working
Thanks fo the replies. Taking in to account the fact that I am completely useless at all things bongo, is there anyone at the bash who would have a peek for me? I'm heading there later to collect a bike rack for a bongo rely. I would of course pay in cash/beer/whisky etc.

Temperature guage not working
My temperature guage has stopped working, hasn't moved from cold on a 20 min journey to work. Should I be worried? Thanks

Re: Shade/awning....
The posts/poles and lines all came with the Quechua Tarp, and it looks like it is on offer at the moment. http://www.decathlon.co.uk/tarp-hiking-shelter-dark-green-id_2363223.html I then machine stitched on some awning piping (not too sure if that is what it's proper name is). http://www.ebay.co.uk/...

Re: Camp sites..again
We never book campsites and always find somewhere, although we're not that fussy, a toilet is luxury
We also use a lot of Camping and Caravan Club CS sites who rarely have a two-night policy.

Re: Bongo adventure
We used a Quechua Base seconds pop-up tent when we visited the Outer Hebrides. We have a canopy/tarp that attaches to the Bongo but it is noisy when it gets windy and we always end up taking it down when the wind picks up. The pop-up tent stood up to some horrendous weather when we were there, and w...
