Re: Glow plugs, such thing as "service interval or .....

I have replaced glowplugs twice over the last 7 years and two bongos, first I used cheap plugs off ebay.....did not last, NGK next after being recommended on here, been fine since. Also, I've not had to removed the center panel to replace them.

Re: No glowplug light and not turning over.

Cheers Mike. Just what I was thinking of doing, but also thought of replacing the lot with rubber. The only question is does anyone have an idea what is the inner diameter of the hose I'll need? and are the pipes on the box the same diameter as the pipes on the rad? I'm guessing so. Tried to buy a m...

Re: No glowplug light and not turning over.

Battery replaced. So far so good.

Now looking into sorting an ATF leak, looks like the metal pipes running to the rad are corroded, and looking wet at the box end.

Cheers for the advice.

Re: No glowplug light and not turning over.

Would love to get one off the net, but it could take days to come, plus being up in the Highlands extra carriage charges are the norm. Earth straps are clean, and solid. I have tried starting her a couple of times today and been for a wee run 20+ miles, starts perfectly, but still the glowplu...

Re: No glowplug light and not turning over.

Thanks guys. I did not try jumping it. Battery read 12.5V. Which I know is not good, but that was after a few attempts of starting. No noise from starter at all, no sound what-so-ever when ignition turned fully. Took battery out and charged for a couple of hours, then read 13.3V. Tried it again but ...

No glowplug light and not turning over.

Wonder if anyone can shed some light on my problem please. As title says, when I turn on the ignition the glowplug light does not light, turn further and the starter motor does not come to life. So far I have found just over 12v going to the glowplug relay, but it does not click. Removed relay and c...

Re: Red Squirrel 24th August - Beef Stew

I'm going to break my old manual, 4WD, 8 seat, tintop, as I have already robbed parts to get my new one through it's MOT, (removing rear shock was fun!!) so if anyone needs a spare part give us a shout and I would do my best to take them down with me. Should be down just before 7pm all things going ...

Re: Red Squirrel 24th August - Beef Stew

Hoping to make it down Saturday night, if I can finish work early enough on Saturday morning and the Bongo passes it's MOT this coming week. [-o<
