Re: Underseal / Waxoyl Garage

Preserve and Protect was where I had my Jeep Cherokee undersealed with Dinitrol early in November 2018. Not cheap as said above but the best around. Going back there next month for the free year after check up. Almost forgot about this check up but they were very flexible. Very pleased with the serv...

Re: Best way to sell bongo

It is quite a few years since I sold my Bongo privately to a friend of a fellow Bongo owner on his recommendation. When it came to the actual sale we used the AA private sellers contract. https://www.theaa.com/car-buying/buyers-sellers-contracts. The actual handover of the keys took place at the loc...

Only just found out. To think that I was talking to him not long before he passed. My regards and condolence to all his family.

Re: New member and recommendation

I too can recommend Billy at Caravanfix but have no experience of him servicing my Bongo as I deserted and moved up to a motorhome before Billy set up his garage. Before that Billy ran a mobile service with his van which he still does in addition to the garage. These days Billy carries out the habit...

Re: Finally Got A Bongo !

I must be betting word blind these days. All the advice on getting coolant alarms fitted etc. but I could not find out anywhere what type of motor this Bongo was running. I thought that only diesels had an overheating problem and petrol Bongos were fine. Must be longer than I remember since I sold m...

Re: Potential Bongo Owner near Edinburgh

Fresh import. I hope that you have made sure that your Bongo has been undersealed. Remember they do not underseal vehicles in Japan as they do not use salt on the roads over there. Without undersealing your Bongo will soon start rusting in the British winter.

Re: Any Scottish/northern meets planned?

Occasionally there are meets at Allithwaite near Grange Over Sands run by Jo (Pixe and the Moon). Not usually announced on Bongo Fury but posted on Allithwaite Community Field Bongo Camping Facebook account. Quite a few Bongo Club regulars go there mostly from around Lancashire and Cumbria but also ...

Re: Silverdale Beer Festival

Who is booking the pitches though. I thought that Debbie Simpson was doing it and it is only 3 weeks away now. Motorhome running fine now, my American mechanic showed me the problem and how to fix it myself if it happens again. That's if I can get the part in time. Hope to see you again there Ady. J...

Re: Loads of owners in the NW, where are they chatting?

Got to admit that I am also on Facebook these days, the Scottish Section. But I still go out with my old Bongo club friends in the North West, mostly to Allithwaite where I will be at the end of the month in my posh new motorhome. From what I can see it is typical of todays me-me-me society with peo...

Re: 20th - 22nd October 2017 North West Autumn Bash & Beer/Cider Festival

BBC weather forecast says that the strong winds will be between 8am on Saturday and 3pm on Sunday. Looks live it is going to be a case of battling our way across the field to the pub and praying like mad while we have a drink that our particular van or motorhome will still be at Gibraltar Farm and u...

Just put on a few pounds before Saturday Ady. We may need them to weigh the van down if I don't get my usual spot.
